Awesome. After a few careless mistakes, this is working aces. Thank you.
It's working both in my Clone USB Installer, and also in Recovery Mode when I copy HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext into the System EFI kexts.
Quick Question
So I have moved all my other Kexts for my particular build and...
Remake HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext - I have again. followed your instructions exactly, cd to the patch-nvme-master folder, and entered in ./patch_nvme.sh --spoof 10_12_2.
I still have (AFAIK) the same file, as IOPCIClassMatch still reads string 0x0108ff00&0xFFFFFF00
Yes, sorry I seem to have...
I have removed IONVMeFamily.kext from the EFI Clover USB, but yes, both SSDT-NVMe-Pcc.aml and HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext are in the right places respectively. [My folder attached]
I did change my config.plist... it did say Under SystemParameters > InjectKexts as a String > Yes
So I changed it...
@RehabMan
Another problem solving case I need some help in...
1.
I created a Clone USB installer, so it can be done "pre-install"... and as a backup..
When I boot from that, into the USB's Sierra Installer.. in Disk Utility it does not recognise the NVMe drive at all. I have one SDD via SATA...
@RehabMan would you possibly consider updating your guide with the screenshots here of different examples of the paths as seen on IOReg
Especially those that may no have Windows and only have a Mac available or installed... so people don't get lost in finding the ACPI path of their NVMe device...
Your aml is fine. I think.
[UPDATE]
Just kidding.... Your hunch is right.
It isn't PXSX.... You need to insert:
_SB.PCI0.BR1B.H000.
because in your IOReg... its not PXSX!!!
This is what you should be looking at:
compare this with mine (in purple):
where is your IONVMeFamily.kext? Just make sure its in the same place I think...
After that, I suspect its working???
can you run
diskutil list
in terminal and post the output here please.
If your disk shows up, then i has not been formatted, then open Disk Utility, and format it...
No worries. I went through the same thing as you.
Okay, I think you did not install your HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext and IONVMeFamily.kext in the right way.
It seems that you just dragged and dropped them into S/L/E, which is why terminal output says you have the wrong permissions...
Hey your HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext should be in /S/L/E, alongside an untouched, completely new IONVMeFamily.kext (not in ACPI/patched as you wrote above)
If you have no /S/L/E (meaning you have no working Hackintosh right now), then put it both of these kexts (HackrNVMeFamily-10_12_3.kext...
@bbatla appreciate the tips!
Thank you @PatriXtreme I will look into that.
I was also looking into another thread:
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312085-guide-macos-sierra-1012x-on-asrock-h170m-itxac/page-1
and noticed the custom AML file that @Denicio built. Is it something I can...
Ah thank you! I rebuilt the config.plist... and I removed the IONVMeFamily Patches. But IONVMeFamily.kext still lives alongside HackrNVMeFamily.kext in S/L/E. I think its working now, right?!?! :) :)
And yes, I noticed the AML was not there. I have added it back in. Thank you...
For those on Sierra here, that don't have audio working.. this post helped me out:
PatriXtreme instructs the user to run Multibeast again because of some sort of bug, but doing that broke my sound again, so the instructions up to this point worked for me.
I post a full Sierra guide when I've...
Yes, right on. Thank you. I realised I was hasty in implementing RehabMan's HackrNVMe patch, and he clearly stated it should not be used in an install. So I removed all his stuff and just stuck with pikeralpha's IONVMeFamily.kext until I was settled in with a booting Hackintosh :)
For a...
