A side note, I've also experienced extreme slowness boot time after Monterey. The macOS Finder also took very long time to be initialized and useable after boot up. I read that it's to do with incompatibility of Monterey and Samsung SSD... sigh.. wish I can rollback to BigSur.

after running smoothly on Big Sur, now I upgraded to Monterey. All the freeze issues came back. So frustrated

update: I've turned the turbo boost off for a month now, no random froze again. It seems like this solves the problem! I'll update again if I see freezes again. Thanks a lot @thaisin2001

My hunch is that it has something to do with system protection and usb drivers. This start happening from Catalina on onward, Mojave was all good.

not 100%, I still have sporadic USB froze but it's much much much less frequent than before after stop using the previous Logitech webcam.

For me, I removed my Logitech webcam, removed my Logitech usb speaker. And that seems fixed the issue. Now I am using a random brand webcam from Amazon and creative pebble Bluetooth speaker

Your bluetooth is connected to your MB by a USB cord, so it definitely uses USB
