Hi Toleda, here's what I did with Alpha HDA
EDIT:
Did a clean install and followed these steps:
1. Edit and install HDEF/DSDT (realised I was missing method DTGP and added that to the DefinitionBlock, no more errors)
2. Ran MultiBeast, installing only EasyBeast
3. Backup and deleted...
Sorry, I was under the impression that we have exhausted all ideas in the old thread and came up with UseKernelCache=No as a temporary workaround. I thought it's better to move to a new thread focusing on installing alpha HDA. Feel free to lock this up if you want me to stick to the old thread...
Hi again Toleda,
Zotac H77, ALC892
Here's my previous thread FYI http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/65574-help-no-audio-after-restarting-multibeast-5-0-2-installation-5.html#post429989
I have attempted to install the alpha HDA to no avail. These are the steps I've taken:
1. DSDT/HDEF...
ML: How to Add or Edit dsdt/HDEF
Added the Method and am getting the error "DTGP not found". DSDT compiles fine if I comment out the line with DTGP and Arg# (arguments?). I can send you the DSDT later when I get home if required
hey mate, sorry missed your PM. The new forum system is a bit lacking, I reckon.
Anyway, I got temporary fix for my audio by setting UseKernelCache=No bootflag. Toleda's thread is a bit confusing for a noob like me but I think I understand it now, going to give it a try when I'm free

Does UKC=Yes really speeds up the booting time? Or there will be more tweaks to do to get the final result? I can only see a tiny improvement in my system so I can live with UKC=No with audio for now.
I will then take my time to understand optimising AppleHDA, might need hand-holding guide...
Sorry for my confusion as I don't really understand what DSDT does exactly and you told me to do a fresh install due to some conflict in the system, so I thought all this (including the extracted DSDT) are related. Please ignore what I said if they are irrelevant.
Here's what I did:

That was the DSDT extracted before the latest fresh install, I suppose we are not using that since it was broken?
Sorry, what enabler are you referring to?
Hi toleda, do you want me to try UseKernelCache on fresh install without MultiBeast?
I'm not sure if it helps but I've attached AppleHDA.kext and HDAEnabler892.kext from both UseKernelCache=Yes and No boot. I know the file size are different but not sure if makes any difference
the progress of the current system is so far:
1. fresh install from UniBeast (reboot)
2. EasyBeast from MultiBeast
3. AtiConfig=Pithecia in org.chameleon.Boot.plist (reboot)
3. ALC892 w/out DSDT from MultiBeast (reboot)
4. HDMI codec in BIOS + UseKernelCache
5. KextBeast...
