One last question. I haven't updated to Big Sur yet. If I boot successfully to Catalina using the new USB drive, can I just mount the EFI once I'm logged in and replace the Clover EFI that's already there?
Just looking to at least try upgrading before I do a clean install.
Yeah, I get a notification actually that it expects OC .7.0, but that I'm running OC .6.4-.6.9. Not sure what that is about. I looked everywhere for OC .7.0. Maybe it's expected to drop soon.
Thank you for the info.
Maybe this has already been addressed, but I'm a bit confused about updating the config.plist I generated using OC-Gen-X. In the video the example config.plist is quite a bit different, in that I have extra entries in mine that don't exist in the example. In the video, there's an entry in the...
Oh wow, I totally missed that post. Thank you very much trs. You donate a whole lot of time and knowledge for the community.
BTW, what's the recommended latest version of Clover for our current installs? I updated through Clover to 51xx and no boot options were available after rebooting. Clover...
Right, I get that. I had set my current install up exactly as stated in the guide and my Mac says it's a 14,2. Just trying to figure out how would go about getting up to Big Sur if I decide to do so.
Thank you for the info as usual.
Yeah, I have a real 21" Late 2013 iMac, but I don't want to upgrade one or the other, I'd rather both of them be done. The last time I checked in about Big Sur, it was a stay away recommendation.
For some reason I didn't think we could use 15,1 on these hacks. I'm doing some research to see if...
I did a thread search first without results. Just wanting to know if anyone tried "Patched Sur" available here: https://bensova.gitbook.io/big-sur/supported-macs
Supposedly Late 2013 iMacs are fully supported, just didn't know if it would work for this particular installation.
Started having my Bluetooth speakers cut out and skip. Then my watch wouldn't unlock my Hackintosh. Did a little bit of troubleshooting, and realized it was most definitely this card that I bought when I first built my Hack from this thread.
I just replaced it with a Fenvi tonight and working...
I understand your point. Apple is in the services business now as much as anything else, and like you said, you are a minority. I can see you can still import from Music.app, songs view and playlist stuff all looks the same. I'm curious, as a power user, what is different? Or is it just a...
All of the features of iTunes are still present as far as I know, just split up into multiple places. There has to be a lot of people upset about that, I wonder if they'll put it back soon or take the headphone jack stance.
EDIT: Although I think the headphone jack thing was for the betterment...
Thank you for the info, as usual.
Unfortunately I don't have two DP monitors and I don't have a DP to HDMI adapter for my second monitor. If I find an adapter I will test it out.
Are there any newer iMac models that would be applicable to this build? Sidecar requires fairly newer hardware. I think the oldest is the 5k from 2015 or iMacs 2017 or newer. I believe the 2015 5k iMac is 17,1.
