Hi, do you mind sharing your EFI?
I've got the same laptop C940 with the i7-1065G7 CPU and 4k screen. I've got most things working including graphics but I can't get the trackpad or touchscreen working. I've tried various GPIO / XOSI SSDTs and patches without success.
Also kernel_task runs...
Any ideas why the 3 connector framebuffers allow infinite sleep/wakes?
How did you mod your bios? Can you show me please?
Thanks, disabled XHCIPortLimit
At one stage, on the first wake, the internal display went black with external display still working, so I tried that boot argument. Have...
I have the same laptop XPS 9570 with 4K screen.
What is your remaining battery capacity in Windows? Run "powercfg /batteryreport" from Command Prompt.
My battery capacity is only 60% of 97Wh but I think it still drains pretty slowly, though I've never timed it. Hardly any battery drain on...
My XPS 2 in 1 is nearly fully working except for a weird issue with the video output (via USB-C dock - Dell WD15 and TB15).
CPU - i7-1065G7

OpenCore 0.77 with Big Sur
What works:
- iGPU - Iris Plus
- Touchscreen, touchpad
- Wifi / Bluetooth
- Internal speakers (Mic not working)
-...
If you are crashing on wake up, then I think hibernating -> wakeup would be the same as sleep -> wakeup. It's the wakeup process that causes a crash. In some laptops, it might be the NVMe drive causing it. Check the error when you reboot after the crash to see if you have any clues as to what...
Block sleep - OFF or else it won't sleep!
Usually the issue with sleep is that on waking up from sleep, it crashes. So you would turn block sleep ON if you wanted to stop it sleeping and crashing on wake. However, turning on Block sleep in BIOS will also disable sleep in Windows. Rather than...
How are you measuring the 15 watt battery drain?
I used your dGPU-off.aml and in MaciASL I saw that your card is at: _SB_.PCI0.PGOF
- is that your ACPI path for the card?
Windows tells me mine is at _SB_.PCI0.PEG0.PEGP
- however, when I edit the SSDT to my apparent address, the battery is...
Sleep does work for me on XPS 9700.
Turn off the Early Signs of Life option in BIOS. I think this is breaking sleep when it hangs on wake. I've done that for a number of XPS and it works.
Yes, standby 1 and hibernate mode 3 also working on my 9700.
This is unplugged and on battery.

Have you tried it with the entire EFI I attached. I think it might have worked with several SMBIOS for me so it might not be that. Also might be somewhere settings that I fiddled with. Only thing is I also had the Sleep wake failure issue with the Dell logo on another hack, Dell XPS 9390 2 in 1...
Hi thewhoareyou,
Thanks to your EFI, I got dGPU off which was definitely draining my battery life.
I did get sleep working, before I used your EFI actually because I could verify that sleep didn't drain battery but as soon as lid open and screen on, battery went down quickly.
Here's my fork...
Hi
If you get to the Apple loader and it crashes, it's probably to do with GPU. Try some boot arguments such as
-wegnogpu
-disablegfxfirmware
On the black screen, toggle Caps Lock. If the light goes on and off, then you're probably loaded in MacOS but no internal screen. Plug in external...
I've got it mostly working combining various EFIs found online from different models.
Model: XPS 9390 2 in 1
CPU: i7 1065G7
FHD+
Not working:
- Touchscreen
- Thunderbolt
- Incomplete USB mapping
If anyone wants to improve on it, here's a start. You will need to generate your own data for...
I recently got Surface Book 1 and Surface Book 3 (same processor as yours) pass that troublesome stop. Check out my EFIs.
