I have the same issue with a GT 640, but unfortunately the web driver won't install on 10.10.1, it gives an error that it's not for this version. So I guess we have to wait for Nvidia to update. I took the GT 640 out for now, and am just running off of my GTX 680

I'm having the exact same issue, have followed many of the steps here and verified the drivers existence. My Mobo is X79-UD5 gigabyte.

Got it working. Had to plug it in to a USB 3 port to get it to work. Dunno why. DVD player doesn't work, it says can't initialise. But VLC and Toast seem to work fine. Wohoo!
