[Success] VGA port fix for Intel HD 3000

You all have Gigabyte boards, right? Any idea what to do with, say, P8H61? I made a hack based on that board (the LE/CSM version) for my stepdad last month, and was planning on using the DVI and VGA heads (i3 2105) but of course discovered the VGA doesn't work. :-\ Since this hack seems to need...

    Lion 10.7.2 RAID-0 with TonyMacX86 tools & Chimera

Yes, I found that, too. Kind of a pain. I also found a way to run the benchmark app (not that I want to run it more than once... SSD degradation and all...) Just in the terminal, type sudo, and drag the executable from inside the .app package into the terminal window; run with super user...

    Lion 10.7.2 RAID-0 with TonyMacX86 tools & Chimera

UH OH!! Something is not right with this... can't repair permissions from Disk Utility (have to go to terminal, sudo diskutil repair permissions /), and when I try to benchmark the boot disk using Speedtools, I am told I don't have permission to write to this volume. :-\ Whuh?!

    Lion 10.7.2 RAID-0 with TonyMacX86 tools & Chimera

Thank you for this. I set up a 2x120GB Vertex 3 boot RAID (benched at 1GB+/sec) this afternoon. Didn't work the first time I tried, because when you copy and paste the RAID uuid, it inserts a space after AND before, which bungs things up. I deleted the space in front of the identifier, and it...

Beta Asus Sandy Bridge Sleep/Wake Fix

WORKS!! On P8P67 Pro, vanilla Bios, but patched 10.7.4 AICPUPM, with DSDT edits and the SSDT in /Extra. Sleep works, and wake, too. I got REALLY excited because now "Wake for Ethernet access" becomes an option in System Preferences (Energy Saver), and never was before for my Intel LAN NIC, even...

    Intel HD3000

Hmm. So apparently the i3 2100 is HD 2000, and this is not natively supported, though it can be 'tricked' into partial support? :-/ Would I be better off going for an i3 2105, which has HD 3000? That would be natively supported with latest Chimera, right?

    Intel HD3000

Quick question, guys. Possibly building a mackintosh for my stepfather. Built my own last summer. Going to make a small (mATX), cheap (i3), quiet (Fractal Designs case) hack for him. Am I correct in thinking that I can just use the onboard video (P8H61-M LE) so long as I use the latest Chimera...

Yeah, I know the Realtek solution works. Unfortunately P8P67 has Intel NIC...

BUMP for anyone confirming if WOL works for P8P67 Pro? Thanks. :-)

Beta Asus Sandy Bridge Sleep/Wake Fix

Can anyone test/confirm if wake-on-LAN works (using Intel wired NIC onboard)?

    Asus 1155 Patched BIOS Repository

Great to see this! Am hoping to tinker around with it in a few days. Some questions, first! I am running my own DSDT that I edited manually to get the jmicron eSATA ports working (see my thread here). Are these edits included in the DSDT (for P8P67 Pro)? Also, this will only be worthwhile for...

Finally updated to 10.7.2, Kernel Panic on VNC

Okay, well that was awfully convenient. Updating to 10.7.3 which was released today solves this problem. No kernel panics using VNC any more. :-)

Finally updated to 10.7.2, Kernel Panic on VNC

The kernel panic happens when attempting to screen share from MacBook Pro (legit Apple machine), which is running 10.6.4. If screen sharing from the Hackintosh (to share the MacBook's screen), it works fine, no kernel panic. But in reverse, kernel panic. I ran Airport Utility 6.0, and updated...

Finally updated to 10.7.2, Kernel Panic on VNC

Hi folks. I've been running 10.7.0 on my Hackintosh (Core i5, 2500K, 16GB RAM, Radeon 6850, etc.) flawlessly for months. Just yesterday I finally updated to 10.7.2 (to get iCloud working with a new iPad 2). Seemed fine. However I've just now discovered that if I attempt to VNC into the...
