    [Guide] Alienware-17-R4-Dual-GPU-MacOS-Catalina-10.15-Hackintosh

Just another note, I did another hackintosh with another Alienware R4, 7700HQ, intel 630, GTX1070, and swapped in Dell DW1560. Everything works...sound, wifi, bluetooth, sleep, USB, etc. Same as my prior build. Had to use an alternate kext from the v10 Clover download from RockJesus was...

What do you mean about detect others nearby? in Windows I used if for some basic internet usage for a few hours, no noticeable issues. But mainly windows is for a single game, otherwise 99% of my time is in OSX, and that seems to be stable and solid so far. I don't have handoff or continuity...

I didn't install anything, I just booted into windows and started using Wifi... No prompts to install drivers, it was working on first boot. See attachments for screenshots of what drivers it was using. Can you provide details on exactly how you got USB-C to HDMI working? And the 2.8Ghz fix?

ahhh...OK, explains why it didn't work for me maybe then in 10.13.6. Good to know.

Retry 10.13.6 then and make sure nothing gets added to your Extensions folder to break anything...? I don't know. My guess was USB-C requires specific hardware options too to enable the USB-C HDMI output...and the laptop may not have it or the driver may not support it... I have another...

USB-C to HDMI didn't work for me either...but you have native HDMI, so why not use that port instead? You also have native display port...that is how I conencted two 4k displays to my laptop.

Well...I'm sorry to tell you, and happy for myself...but with the Wifi card installed, I have BT and Wifi in OSX, didn't change anything, just installed and booted. Booted into Windows 10 too, and it worked as well. I guess it takes long term usage in Win10 to detect problems there, but...

No changes... What BIOS version are you on? Clear NVRAM once more and try again? I'm on 10.13.6, all Apple updates applied after that. RockJesus clover v10. If there is something I can check for you, let me know. I don't have the Wifi card installed yet...its still in the mail. :(

Yeah....I close the lid, it takes about 15 seconds, and the lights all go off. If it sits idle, it sleeps as set. If I manually sleep it, its the same roughly 15 seconds. I don't have the DW1560 card yet installed. It still en-route. BTW, there are supposedly good Win10 drivers for it now...

I accidentally ended up APFS but I didn't mean to...on my second reinstall I just forgot to turn it off. It's been working OK for me.

I only get that error when I reference the boot file form a folder I renamed, or there is no OS on the drive, so I think you messed up your EFI stuff then.

Does your BIOS let you choose the boot item? If so, choose the /EFI/OC/BOOTx64.efi I used UniBeast 8.4.0-2 is what it shows when I get info on it. I'm on BIOS 1.9, but 1.7 worked the same.

Just take the EFI partition, EFI folder, and copy in the BOOT and OC folders.
