I followed every step of the guide. Since you viewed the errors logs and can't ascertain the problem, I'm beginning to think that there is a defect with my ethernet port.
To validate this I just installed Ubuntu and the ethernet is not working either. I'll consider a USB gigbit ethernet...
Hi Rehabman,
I was able to successfully find the EFI partition and save the preboot files. I'm learning slowly but surely. I've bundled them in with the other previous files. You can find it all here. I look forward to see what you can find from viewing these files.
Thanks.
Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I also simply pressed the keys in the main Clover screen. In which directory are the misc/preboot.log and ACPI/origin/ files created in?
Do the other log files I uploaded provide any insight to you about the ethernet problems?
Hi Rehabman. Thanks for the directions. I tried to run the auto debug script install_tools.sh you mentioned, but it didn't work because because of the lack of internet connectivity. The message displayed was "Unable to connect to the internet. Aborted." I've collected the manual debug files and...
Hello RehabMan,
Thank you for the instructions regarding problem reporting. I have been away from the hackintosh project while I've been starting a business. I got a chance to collect the problem reporting files today. They're attached here.
The one area I was not able to understand is the...
Hello Rehabman, I followed all your steps and ethernet remains broken. I am curious if you could provide any more insight.
1. I have switched the ethernet cable.
2. I've successfully installed High Sierra following your guide.

Thanks for your time Pilgrim. I'll see if anyone else online can take if from here. This type of reaction is what I feared from posting to the online community.
DEAR HACKINTOSHERS: I followed the below instructions exactly and am stuck on the next step.
The instructions mention downloading a...
In an abundance of caution, I'm in the habit of following the directions exactly.
The .kext is extracted on the desktop. What would you recommend the next step is? Sidenote, would I need to re-run the command sudo kextcache -i / at any point in this process?
Thanks for your patience. I could have been more clear. I originally clicked Download Now and downloaded the .zip file to my desktop.
But I left the file there on the desktop since I wasn't instructed to do anything with the .zip file. Did I need to do anything else with the .zip?
Thank you for the quick response P1lgrim.
I followed your instructions, but still do not see ethernet. I have the IntelMausiEthernet.kext.zip on my desktop still, and didn't do anything with it per your instructions. Is there anything I need to do with it, or was it injected when I ran KextBeast?
Hello all,
After trying to solve this problem as much as I could on my own, I am resorting to asking the community. Ethernet does not work on my Intel NUC 5i3RYN. Ethernet uses an Intel branded card, the program DPCIManager also verifies that it's an Intel card.
1. I have verified the ethernet...
In 6 months Apple will release computers with Kaby Lake components and OSX will become fully compatible with Kaby Lake. At that point, we can build Kaby Lake Hackintoshes that are fully compatible with OSX. I understand that Kaby Lake components are currently not fully compatible with OSX...
