Installation of Multibeast fails due to unsigned etc...

Sorry? I don't understand this comment. All I need is for someone to explain where this config.plist is located, that is what drive it is on. It seems a simple enough question, yet one that instead of gets, what? Please do not expect everyone who visits this forum and asks for help to have any...

Installation of Multibeast fails due to unsigned etc...

Is this on the boot USB stick, or somewhere on the hard drive? I'd guess the former if its needed to boot as I have not been able to boot successfully from the HD yet, however I do not know how to extract it. System locks during install of Snow Leopard - full details in post

Well miracles apparently do occur as I have literally fallen over the solution while looking for something else. The answer is here : https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3923564 In essence there is a bug(?) in Snow Leopard which causes a conflict between IPV4 and IPV6 and this causes some...

System locks during install of Snow Leopard - full details in post

Well this is my last post as I have now given up. There appears to be no way to get this HP8200 to become a Mac. It either refuses to connect to the internet (install, run multibeast) or connects to the internet and then hangs (install without multi beast) In my final attempt I connected the...

System locks during install of Snow Leopard - full details in post

Hello (part 5, the rather disappointing sequel to hello part 4) Well slight progress. I found an old 80gb sata drive in my pile of bits. Installed it and followed the guide again. This time I did not install multibeast and managed to get as far as accession Software update. However although it...

System locks during install of Snow Leopard - full details in post

Hello (part4) ... why do I keep thinking about a burning fuse? Well dispite the guide saying you dont need multi-beast I have been getting nowhere. So I thought what have I got to loose? I scrubbed the OSX partition, reinstalled, ran the update helper, rebooted, ran the apple update then ran...

System locks during install of Snow Leopard - full details in post

Hello (part 3) Well very minor progress. I have discovered that the Tenda drivers also include a wifi utility - they come with virtually zero documentation and the manual on the Tenda web site is for Windows only. Using this utility now gets around the odd issue of having to have a fixed IP...

System locks during install of Snow Leopard - full details in post

Hello (part 2), Rather fed up that I was getting less than no-where on a system that should be able to run SL, I stripped it down and did a thorough clean with my air brush (using the compressor at just under a bar). This blew a lot of gunk from, well everywhere really - so much for this being...

Would this be a good pc for a basic Hackingtosh?

Sorry I assumed that since I have been discussing an HP8200 that I would not be bitten for missing that info in my profile... guess not.

Would this be a good pc for a basic Hackingtosh?

Well I guess a lot of folk hit a hurdle when installing OSX and I am sadly no exception. I have a new 1tb sata hd installed have set the HP to factory defaults (which in my case enabled AHCI) and am following the instructions here -...

Would this be a good pc for a basic Hackingtosh?

Hi trs96, Thank you once again for such a comprehencive post and such good news. The hp psu is actually a clever design as its fan also cools the main hard drive. Had it been a more standard type then I would have replaced it with a good make gold level psu, and wasted my money doing so. Now...
