Yes, a mistake but on the note of graphics cards, we actually ended up just buying a GTX 650 1GB to fix the dual monitor boot-up issue we were having. Doesn't hurt to have a card installed anyways. Still haven't gotten a dip in work to throw it on yet but I don't think it will cause any issues...

If you've got experience with the initial setup I'd say go for it. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this board as it seems to have had more incompatibility issues right off the bat compared to other but once everything is running its a dream with Pro Tools.

The GA-787X-UD5H has been a headache for me with audio. I get distortion/stuttering/pops and clicks just from watching YouTube videos. I'm currently using a Symphony I/O as the audio interface and the Hackintosh just doesn't like it for some reason... A lot of forum searching reveals the same...

Wish it was that simple. Ended up realizing the system audio is only ok for a few minutes before it starts to stutter. After that everything just goes wrong. Not even sure where the problem is anymore.

Changing to 96Khz is only a temporary fix. Cracking still starts after a while for me in Pro Tools.
