    Ongoing Progress - Big Sur on Gigabyte B550 Vision D - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Thunderbolt 3

I went through the exercise of enabling/disabling from the bottom up, re-enabling ones that stopped the boot. For me that didn't fix the sleep issue, but for others it did. After more experimenting by most users it was the consensus that it was best to leave them all enabled except for the last...

Unlikely to ever happen, it can't be done on a desktop, never mind a laptop.

    [SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

@sjoseph Try going into your BIOS/UEFI and disabling Wake on Lan, this often fixes shutdown/restart issues.

    Ongoing Progress - Big Sur on Gigabyte B550 Vision D - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Thunderbolt 3

On the TRx40, some people have overcome the sleep problem by enabling DevirtualiseMmio and adding a MMIOWhitelist (enabling 14 or 15 of them) in the Booter section of OC. Maybe something for you to have a look at in due course. The 2 you have listed, but not enabled, are incorrect, for our...

If you have Windows installed and put that to sleep, when it wakes up the LED will probably be displaying 30 as well. It does on my Gigabyte AMD board. Windows, however, fully awakes from sleep whilst still displaying 30.

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

My daughter's machine died so I gave her my Gigabyte Z390 Hack. I fancied another challenge so went with the Gigabyte Xtreme TRX40 and the 3970X. This gives macOS the full 64 threads that it can use. I was going to use Proxmox to start with but was never happy with the resultant VMs. It is Bare...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

There are a couple of scripts to run which sorts out most issues. The latest beta versions of the apps now work without patching via the scripts. Probably Adobe working with Apple to remove Intel specific stuff out so that they will run on ARM. Some plugins don't work (yet) as they should, eg...

How long have you left it to see if it appears? Large drives like this can take a few minutes (I've seen up to 5 in some cases) before macOS recognises them and they appear.

Adobe Apps work for me on a 3rd gen Threadripper. A simple patch script solves most problems. The new Beta apps from Adobe also now work without patching etc - probably Adobe removing the Intel specific codebase in preparation for ARM.

There are macOS virus' out there in the wild, so yes you can still get virus' on Macs/Hacks. The first virus to replicate in the wild, i.e outside the lab, was also aimed at Apple computers. see here.

Is this a typo by Apple? Surely 10.15.7 or could it be another supplemental update?

ATM it is a quick 2 or 3 second script run to get everything working. Also, I understand that the current beta versions of all Adobe apps except Photoshop run without needing patching etc. By the time they are released the chances are Photoshop will have been updated to. This is probably Adobe...

A quick patch which takes about 2 seconds to install and the latest Photoshop, Lightroom etc work great. I haven't tested all their apps though, just the ones I use.
