    Monitor - LG Ultrafine?

What Alogic one are you talking about? I did a lot of research on this and found one adaptor that works - and I exported one from the UK and tested it. The working adaptor is a Delock 63928 : https://www.delock.com/produkte/G_63928/technische_details.html available on Amazon...

[Guide] HP 6300 Pro / HP 8300 Elite - A 100 percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac

Interesting. A i7 Dell 9020 is double the price of an i7 HP 8300 for me - hence why I haven't looked further. Also it appears a RX560 or 580 will be double slot so will block the wifi / bluetooth card that I would be wanting to use.

[Guide] HP 6300 Pro / HP 8300 Elite - A 100 percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac

It depends where you are in the world re pricing of the units. The 8300 are readily available for very reasonable prices with me - and the Elitedesk are not. But also I have seen many many more guides and updates for the 8300 - which I don't think is just a bias as I have them! A 8300 CMT with...

    [UHD630]Is dual monitors impossible?

Is this true across all motherboards / setups / OS versions? I am trying to find a suitable low power/quiet dual monitor setup. Related to that, your option 5. - how can we check the clock speed. Im currently using an RX560, identical screens but different interfaces (DP and HDMI) so I might...

[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Low profile cards to fit the SFF are now hard to find. 3770 with HD4000 is fine on a 2K monitor I found - but then I moved to RX560, and it was a lot smoother generally. Hard to pinpoint and describe exactly. HD4000 is easy, stable, quiet. RX560 was extra work, my system isn't as stable, the...

[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

DP should work fine. I have done multiple of these and never used the VGA port for anything. Perhaps try a different cable or something?

    [Guide] Fanless mini Mojave: i5-8600 | Gigabyte Z370N WiFi | Intel HD630

@infraroth does the fan spin down and stop when the temps are low / the card isn't under load? Or does it run all the time?

@Sniki do you have any update on your OpenCore 8300 guide you have previously mentioned? Really looking forward to giving it a try. Thanks in advance.

[Guide] HP 6300 Pro / HP 8300 Elite - A 100 percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac

I have done multiple 8300s including a USFF and all have solid LAN connections with no issues. Do you lose LAN or "just" internet; might be a problem with your router?

You may also want to consider changing your graphics card (e.g. to RX560) and then moving up to Catalina, which is supported and works well (I understand - currently still on Mojave here).

[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Noting the above message, is it possible to move from an existing, largely working 8300 (from a different guide) to this one - without formatting MacOS? I have a working setup I do not want to break, but I have some sleep issues that I want to resolve and then I want to move High Sierra >...

Do you have a picture of this? I am struggling to visualise, but it sounds like it could be a great solution for me.
