Hi.
Today I have completed my first Hackintosh, I still have to buy monitor. What do you think about LG Ultrafine? Or what 4k monitor can you recommend?

any 4k you like with a DisplayPort. the LG is a thunderbolt so that works only on real macs.
it depends on what your hardware/GPU is capable of

I am trying to establish if the 4K LG Ultrafine 21.5 (the original 2016 one, not the just released 2019 one) works on any hackintosh?
It is Displayport over USB C (NOT thunderbolt) and as such I think it may work off a NUC, or some other new hardware?

What Alogic one are you talking about?

I did a lot of research on this and found one adaptor that works - and I exported one from the UK and tested it. The working adaptor is a Delock 63928 : https://www.delock.com/produkte/G_63928/technische_details.html available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FYLCG3S/?tag=tonymacx86-21

This takes Displayport in (via full size DP port female) and converts to DisplayPort over USB-C (outputs via USB-C male). Note this does not need an external PSU and does not have any USB interface, therefore I have not found a way to adjust the brightness of the monitor (there are no physical buttons). However, my RX560 output 4k and it looked great, like it does on my MBP.

Oh what, did it actually work for you? And which UltraFine specifically are you using? Do things like the speaks and USB ports work for you on the monitor?

Yes it works for monitor. No USB. Haven't tested speakers.
