hi,
running a dell XPS 14 laptop. Have clover v 2.4k rev 4784 installed. build 2018-11-30.
I would like to remove the boot loader and the partitions so that I can install windows like it was originally. I tried "clover boot options" and "remove all clover boot options" but it did nothing.
hi all
I bought a MBP 2020 before realizing it could ONLY run Catalina. I need Mojave for all my apps. Therefore my options are to buy an older mac, or to get a new PC and do a Hackintosh out of it!
Arguably one of the best MBP alternatives is the new XPS 13 (9300).
please PLEASE tell me it...
Have been trying to get bluetooth working so I can use a mouse and headphones in mackintosh. My wifi card doesn't seem to work, but bluetooth KINDA does. It connects very briefly then disconnects. Overall not reliable.
I have bought a few bluetooth usb dongles, but no difference. I think...
hi,
when I switch between windows and macOS the system clock changes pretty drastically. Then I reboot and sometimes it fixes on its own.
secondly, can't get the screen brightness +/- keys to work. Any thoughts?
attached is debug.
thanks!
Ok. So the
50+ subfolders are meaningless. Good to know.
I'll go back to trying to patch it manually then. Any thoughts on why my codec decimal code is not in the apple hda config? I can't get past this step of the tutorial.
I have read through that wiki multiple times. Have been struggling with this audio for weeks. I can't find anything in there about what to do with the xml and kext config files. Do I just drop them into the contents folder of appleHDA.kext to replace the native configuration?
tried this method, still no audio. How can i load in the patch for my sound codec?

I found an old post where you told someone with my exact laptop that they should search for a patched appleHDA for ALC275. I found this.

Can I just drop these files in the AppleHDA contents folder to replace the native copy...
okay -- if I understand this guide correctly.
1) Dissassemble the DSDTs/SSDTs.
2) I don't know which file has audio but guide suggests it could be DSDT.dsl.
3) open DSDT.dsl (with maciASL) and at the top click "patch" and add in the small code or "IRQ" and "patch". Repeat for "audio layout...
alright I just read through the guide 3 times. I get the feeling this is going to take me a few months to get this working...
Looking for the codec decimal code. The only hex's I see in the codec dump are for VendorID. I googled a converted and got a decimal. I looked for that in the list...
thank you. I tried changing layoutID to 3, 13, and 28. Still when I reboot I get no audio, nothing under audio devices (about this mac > system report). Sorry for being such a pain with this, really dying to get my audio working. Thanks again!
did the audio codec dump. Got output from codec#0 and codec#3. Attached. Not sure what to make of this now.
When I finally figure out which layout ID to use do I input that in plisteditpro under Devices>Audio>Inject>number, or under...
