    Deleting NTFS files from OSX

My system is set up to dual boot (OSX 10.7.2 and Win7). My Windows drive is full to overflowing, and now after a security update won't boot (not enough disk space). I can boot into OSX with no problems and was hoping to be able to delete some files from my windows drive. I can see the files...

    User / password error Lion

Answering my own question. Deleting my Lion partition, recreating it (from SL) and reinstalling 10.7 gave me back control.

    User / password error Lion

I upgraded to Lion. I wanted to add a SSD, so created the installer partition on that, together with a partition for 10.7. After booting into the installer partition, upgraded my SL installation with the new 10.7 partition as my target. It all worked well, and it boots from the 10.7 partition...

Brand new to building a Mac

Definitely do your research - but just be aware that this is becoming much easier than it used to. I drove myself silly trying to go through the threads on insanelymac - and it was when I discovered the tonymac method I made the leap. I bought: GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD2 motherboard GIGABYTE...

Do you own a real Mac?

I have an early intel mac mini - that came with the core duo. I upgraded the CPU to a core2duo and upped the RAM. My wife has a MB - C2D with the 9400M graphics.

    Sound "plops"

Fantastic - the 'plop' was one of the few annoying artefacts of my UD2 hackintosh. I was prepared to live with it until I saw this thread - solved it. Thanks!

Welcome to the new forums! From tonymacx86!

Thanks for your site. It gave me the courage to build my first Hackintosh last week. I wanted something that would handle HD video editing and Photoshop. I went with an i7/860, Gigabyte UD2, 8GB RAM, 10,000 rpm Raptor system drive, 7,200rpm data drive, nVidia GTS250 card and a LG Bluray...
