Late to the Big Sur party, but just completed successful upgrade from Catalina (Clover) to Big Sur (OC 0.6.6) My process was as follows: * Create OC EFI folder (Kexts, ACPI, config.plist, etc) using Kaby Lake Guide * Delete Clover EFI on my Catalina installer USB, replace with new OC EFI...

SSDTs or no SSDTs, that is the question

Meh, just ended up enabling SSDT-PLUG and SSDT-EC-USBX as recommended in the Kaby Lake guide. Can't hurt. Going to do a CCC backup, and go for it w/ the Big Sur upgrade.

SSDTs or no SSDTs, that is the question

If sleep / wake is working, would this still be necessary? Trying to keep things as "vanilla" as possible to make future upgrades simpler.

SSDTs or no SSDTs, that is the question

Getting ready to do a direct upgrade to Big Sur from Catalina. Completed migration from Clover to OC 0.6.6. Everything working as expected. My question is around SSDTs. Currently I do not have any SSDTs in use. Are these required for Big Sur, or if I am running hardware that is natively...

    Solved > Sleep/Wake issue (again)

Thanks! I can see what you are pointing out. Appreciate the help. Guessing the reason I never had problems prior to 10.15.3 is due to security changes that were added in 10.15.3.

OK, so far so good. Would you mind explaining where the errors were. I like to use these issues as a learning experience.

    Solved > Sleep/Wake issue (again)

OK, so I have been trying to work this out. It does appear to be related to my graphics card (Sapphire Vega 56). Computer goes to sleep normally, but when I try to wake, I get no video. I can hear new email notifications, etc. so I know the computer is awake, but video does not recover from...

    Solved > Sleep/Wake issue (again)

Looks like I too am having this issue since 10.5.3 upgrade. Computer goes to sleep, when I try to wake, I see HDD indicator light activity, but monitors stay black. Keyboard and mouse LEDs stay off. Command output below: Any suggestions? I have checked that latest kexts are present in...

    macOS 10.15.3 Update

When adding Kexts to /EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other, I just mount my EFI partition, and copy them into the "Other" folder manually. For this upgrade, I deleted all Hacintosh related kexts from /Library/Extension, and rebuilt cache as instructed in Stork's post.

    macOS 10.15.3 Update

It's a pretty vanilla installation, not doing anything special. Using the following Kexts (latest release versions) in /EFI/CLOVER/Kexts/Other: AppleALC, AtherosE2200Ethernet, FakeSMC, Lilu, USBInjectAll, WhateverGreen, XHCI-200-series-injector (not sure if I still need this one??) Here's my...
