Re: Dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 Guide
Attached is my new DSDT.AML to work with Lion 10.7.2. Same mother board and graphic specs as in my original post still apply. GraphicsEnabler should be set to "No" in the boot.plist file. No extra enablers needed.
I wouldn't recommend using the...
Well, sure I can do that; however, this is specifically a 10.7.2 upgrade issue as this work without a problem in all version of OS X from Snow Leopard to 10.7.1.
Dual monitors on a single graphics card works fine. Dual monitors on dual graphics cards will only display from port 1 of the secondary card. I've tried both DSDT edits and EFI inject for the dual cards and neither works. As stated above, all worked fine from Snow Leopard thru 10.7.1. Any...
Anyone having issues with multiple monitors after updating to 10.7.2? I actually have dual GTX 460s with three monitors that have been working fine every since Snow Leopard. All three monitors worked without any issues under Lion 10.7.1. Now that I've updated to 10.7.2, Lion sees the dual...
Downloading to a MacBook Air right now as well. You have to do a search for "Lion" in the App Store. I thought it would be on the main splash page though.
In the comments of that video he says that he keeps a video looping in VLC. You can do that or keep an animated background going and the freezes go away. Not the best solution in the world, but it is the best we have atm for the Fermi cards.
Well, it took a bit over 8 hours for it to KP, so at least it is better then the 2-3 per hour before the BIOS adjustment, but it isn't 100%. Here is the KP.
So I've gone ahead and flashed my BIOS adjusting the min clocks speeds upwards and adjusting the min voltage up from .875 to .8875. I'm at just over 7 hours of uptime atm with no other fixes in place.
Having Chameleon load the ROM doesn't do much of anything. I got Freeze/KP within 15 minutes. You can see from the picture below that Chameleon is finding and loading the correct ROM for the video cards.
So this is starting to appear less and less "random" to me. If I remove all of the "fixes", i.e. no NullCPU, no loop video, no screen saver, the computer will sit and run all day long without problems as long as I'm not doing anything on it. It is only when I start working with it that I get...
EVGA 460s. Put DSDT in /E/E, set Graphics Enabler = Yes, reboot. Keep in mind that it is only for the GA-X58A-UD3R v2.0 board with dual 460's.
This will get your dual 460's working with up to 4 monitors. I still get the random freezes everyone else is getting with the 4xx nVidia cards.
