Just to be clear I installed a pre-existing APFS hard drive (with a previous install of Mojave) on a Gigabyte H370m D3H motherboard system. The H370m D3H has a vga port (D sub). This drive booted to Mojave with no issues and full graphics acceleration.

Blame apple or blame Nvidia. It doesn’t make any sense to not have Nvidia drivers ready to roll since the beta of mojave has been out for months. Business is business - companies need to get over their personal differences. I ordered a gx560. Look for a good deal on my gt1030 on eBay.
