@BreBo
That's exactly what I did, I found a ****** post that I used about a year ago to have sound enabled: https://www.******.com/r/hackintosh/comments/4e23w6/guide_native_audio_with_clover_applealckext/
and followed the steps again.
@P1LGRIM, @BreBo
You are just the best, thank you both so...
@BreBo
Thanks! Graphics works as before this whole situation. Looks like simplest solutions are the best. I didn't have to add any arguments to Clover, it worked without that.
Now I'll try to solve problem with sound, if can't find solution myself, I'll post here.
@P1LGRIM I tried the config that you provided and nothing changed :/
I updated my nvidia drivers using the same way as you provided.
I think NVRAM works, because Nvidia Web Driver is always set, after reboot also it is.
@P1LGRIM I attached my config.plist from EFI/EFI/CLOVER
Took me some time, but I was on a trip without access to my PC.
Here's my Nvidia setting:
Unfortunately the only resolution I can choose is 1024x768. Also there is no hardware acceleration, display flickers on every animation.
@P1LGRIM Thanks! It booted! I removed old lily.kext and put there the latest one.
It turned out after all that the reason of the problem is that system updated! I left my PC turned on for all day yesterday and it updated by itself unfortunately.
Now I have 2 problems - graphics acceleration...
I saw this message, but the last upgrade/update that I did was a few months ago (when I moved to Sierra), even yesterday it worked just fine.
I just tried booting using the pendrive that I prepared with UniBeast long time ago (when I was installing El Capitan on my machine), but with no...
Hello everyone,
My PC (first one from the footer) is running Sierra + Windows 10 on one HDD.
I've been using this setup since a really long time now (I started with El Capitan maybe 2 years ago and updated to Sierra a few month ago without reinstalling).
Anyway, this build worked really well...
What can I say? You basically solved my problem completely. Followed your steps and I got my machine running like before (actually it even booted faster for some reason, my USB wi-fi card drivers loaded up instantly and they always took long to load, I wonder if that's going to stay this way).
I...
But could you tell me how to rebuild the cache?
As far as I know it requires two commands:
sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
sudo kextcache -system-caches
First one is OK, but the second can't be executed, because it lacks parameters.
I;ll just wait for a new driver, since I have no idea what to do now. I hope it'll fix the resolution problem.
@pierrot1972
Did sudo kextcache -system-caches work for you?
I think instruction is wrong for clearing cache. When I try to do sudo kextcache -system-caches
there's a message:
unrecognized option -system-caches
usage: kextcache <mkext_flag> [options] [--] [kext or directory] ...
kextcache -prelinked-kernel <filename> [options] [--] [kext or...
You're right of course. For some reason though nano couldn't open it.
So I open it with Xcode and changed the value.
Then, I wanted to rebuild cache.
I did sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel
I got this message in terminal:
NVDAStartupWeb.kext has incorrect permissions; omitting.
Then I...
The driver is installed for sure. I have NVIDIA Control Panel and what's more important I had the driver working for a few months until yesterday when I accidentally updated El Capitan to latest build.
