Booting from here just flashes the screen - literally does nothing.
There is no option to boot from that SSD from SATA. I noticed one drive does show up as being both UEFI/SATA on this list - but it's just a storage drive. I've tried switching the points of...
It "mounts" with 0 files and folders - but you can see that the files are taking up space. It doesn't every actually show up in Finder either. - DiskUtility says I can "unmount" it but it never popped up into the Devices list in Finder. This is rather weird
I have a few hard drives in this mac pro tower 10.9 Mavericks - they show up in Disk Utility but will not mount. DU shows a sort-of "blank document" or "unidentified filetype" image instead of the normal icon for external media.
I used CCC to migrate data from a 3TB drive to a 4TB drive on a...
If you plan to dual boot OS X and Windows make sure secure boot is disabled and fast boot is disabled.
CSM is either disabled or set to Other OS if you have CSM
I'm not sure what the significance of using Lxquick is, but thanks for the link. It seemed to do something.... Instead of...
I did not drag-n-drop the files, i used the hdiutil coververt UDRW in Terminal on OSX. Is there a reilable verision of that tool that will run in OS X or Ubuntu? (I have access to a MAcbook Pro and a Xubuntu live USB)
Checked the BIOS, it's set to AHCI
Are there other BIOS settings i can look...
Right now I've got a system, i7-3770 / GA-Z77X-UD5H / GTX650, that has been running ML+Win7 relatively happily, sharing one SSD. I finally bought a new HD and I want to install Windows on that other HDD, giving OS X the SSD to itself. The Windows partition was simply erased (with OS X Disk...
I'm running Windows 7 and OS X 10.8 - They're running each on their own partitions of a 256GB SSD. The Win7 side seems to work just fine - it can even access the mac hard drive side. Is there a way I can fix the issues with OSX without re installing everything?
I was running windows from a separate partition and load it with Chimera on boot. But there are many advantages to using Parallels to access the windows partition from within os x. Regardless, OS X Kernel panics on boot - how do I troubleshoot this problem?
Has anyone had an issue wih Parallels before? I get a kernel panic on boot of mountain lion. The windows side is able to see the Mac drive. How can I trouble shoot this? I would really like to be able to use Parallels if it would be possible.
I had a smoothly working Win 7/OS 10.8 combo working until I tried to upgrade from Parallels 6 to 7 on my Mac side. I now get kernel panics on the startup screen. I can boot into Windows, fine though... Any ideas?
Not needing the DTSD is excellent. What does graphicsenabler=no do? I have both windows and os x partitioned evenly on one SSD and they're booting really well. I read that Windows has to be installed first for it to work otherwise its own bootloader mucks everything up. Windows would.

Do a fresh install and when you get to multibeast dont install chimera. I'm running a GA-Z77X-UD5H and I had constant issues with it only booting in safe mode. I only checked the audio and two relevant ethernet drivers, graphicsenabler=0 and 3rd party sata i believe.
LetThisNightExplode's Recording Studio Build
This system is being developed to work in Studio B at Sharp Island Recording Studio in Vancouver, BC. A simple editing, vocal/dialogue-tracking studio - perhaps some light mixing and composition. Studio A is running an old MacPro3,1 so if this build...
