I'm in exactly the same boat, Sabertooth X79 board with GTX 670, I've had a stable system running for last 3 years with Chimera, with Clover, I can get to the clover boot screen, but no further. I'm also beginning to suspect the X79 boards aren't supported for El Capitan with Clover, but it also...

    Hackintosh for Audio/image eiditing

Photoshop will use as much memory as you can throw at it, especially complex image edits, I would suggest 16GB memory, I have 32 GB which is perhaps overkill for most everyday photoshop tasks. Also, while 120GB SSD is fine for your main OS disk, you will need other disks for storage.

David I owe you a beer, although my system is not the same as yours, I've been struggling to install Yosemite, your instructions 'kernel flags for safe boot -x npci=0x3000 cpus=1' and the modification to 'org.chameleon.Boot.plist' meant I managed to finally get it up and running. Many, many...

Some excellent information in this thread, thankyou Dave. After the 10.92 update, if anyone loses sound after sleep (like I did), then you can roll back the ALC892 kexts from Multibeast 5.5.5 , some have succesfully rolled back the ALC892 kexts from MB 6.01 (as mentioned in another thread)...
