[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

I guess not? In theory yes, but it doesn't appear that either of those two are loaded. If I grep something else, a default Apple kext for example, I get output similar to what you're showing. My kexts are all in CLOVER/Kext/Other, but it sure doesn't look like they're being loaded. I'm not sure...

kextstat | grep Lilu or WhateverGreen do not return anything. What is the expected output of that?

[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

You've got the system right: HP 8300 with i5-3470. Integrated graphics disabled in BIOS. RX 560 Using 2500 profile from top post (MacMini6,1) Generated serial and UUID to get Messages working, but don't think that should be relevant here

[Guide] HP Elite 8300 & 6300 Pro (all form factors) using Clover UEFI hotpatch

So this has been a helpful guide, and I have my HP 8300 up and running. However, the fans run all the time and it is a tad loud. Thinking that it must be due to a lack of throttling /CPU states, I ran ssdtPRGen and copied the .aml file in to EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/Patched. This causes it to be unable...

    How to Fix iMessage

I think you are misunderstanding. When you say you have a non-valid serial #, what do you mean? You should be generating a serial with CLover and testing at at selfsolve.apple.com. You should be getting the message: We're sorry, the number you have provided cannot be found in our records. Please...

    Semi-silent i7 build in G5 case.

Yes, it works just fine from a technical standpoint. I put mine in a G5 case, and that introduces one problem with the Strix 750 Ti which is that the DisplayPort connection is right up against the cutout for the case mod (I used the laserhive one). It's a huge hassle and damaged one DP cable...

    Semi-silent i7 build in G5 case.

One final update: Ended up switching out the Gigabyte motherboard for an Asus-Z97-K. No problems with wake on sleep, and more importantly to me, much better fan management cooked in to the BIOS. With the Eco mode on the PSU, the Strix graphics card, and the BIOS controlling the case fans I have...

[SOLVED] Help me diagnose instability with displayport. Software problem?

Help me diagnose instability with displayport. Software problem? Yes, if it wasn't clear in my last response, it was a hardware problem for me. I had a bad DP cable. Once I switched it out the problem went away.

    [Guide] Z97MX-Gaming 5 | i7 4790K | GTX 970 G1 | OS X 10.11

Not sure about sound. When you click on the Nvidia icon in the menubar does it still show that the Nvidia drivers are selected, or is it going back to default OS X drivers every boot?

[Success] Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H, i7-4790K, 32GB Crucial Balistix Tactical, GTX 750 TI

Finally figured this out, and it wasn't a setting or SSDT or anything, it was the stupid display port cable. Must have been causing a short or something. Swapped it out and no problems since.

    How to Fix iMessage

I find it very mysterious how some accounts work and others don't. I have yet to hear a reasonable explanation for that. My theory was that it is older accounts that are somehow grandfathered in to less stringent checks. But it sounds like in your case it's actually a newer account that is working.

Is it worth ripping a G5 apart for a case for a new build?

Is it worth it? That's entirely up to you. How much do you love the look of the case, compared to what you could buy to put a Hackintosh in? There are a ton of "off the shelf" options out there. I bought the wiring harness that makes the front panel work. I bought the tray that the motherboard...

    Need help on Asus z97-a

So you never even see Clover? I would remake your install USB. I don't see why you'd need legacy, do it as UEFI. And sometimes you will need to try a few different USB drives to get one that works right. Also typically best to use USB2 port on the computer, not a USB3 port.
