Busy few weeks with finals so this hasn't been my priority, thanks for the reply though.
"HDMI KVM V1.0.071 by ATEN Advance Tech" is an incorrectly recognized KVM Switch (switches my keyboard, mouse, and one of my displays). It is made by IOGear, not sure where ATEN Advance Tech came from.
I understand, I really appreciate your help, it just appeared to be the same thing over again.
For some reason I ran the shell script another time after deleting the SSDT.aml in the /Extra folder (this was maybe my third try doing the same thing :banghead:) and it did work this time.
IOReg...
I don't intend to sound harsh but I pretty clearly stated I have already followed that guide. Just in case, though, I tried again using the latest ssdtPRGen.sh from that GitHub link and got the same results.
Upon placing the generated SSDT.aml in the /Extra folder, none of my power issues...
I filled out my profile, apologies, but I did list all the specs at the beginning of the thread.
Additionally, I am aware there is no SSDT; as I showed you, IOReg wont start when I have it installed. I reverted all the changes I made based on the first guide you linked and I was able to run...
I unfortunately don't know the solution, but I am running 10.9.2 and have a similar problem, perhaps it is the same.
Does sleep or display timeout work correctly on your machine?
After reverting the changes I made following the power management guide linked, IORegistryExplorer works fine. I don't know if it is of any use, but I attached the IOReg file, without those modifications made.
Did I just follow the guide incorrectly?
I downloaded the zip attached to the post you linked, extracted it, dragged the app to applications. Still freezes as soon as I launch it.
It worked before I followed that power management guide, in the step where it says to create a baseline for comparison.
Unfortunately as I stated, this happens any time I try to launch IOReg or IOJones:
The application never actually opens so I can't post any info for you.
I might try reverting the changes I made.
Followed that guide and no luck. Shutdown, sleep, and display timeout still do not work properly. Also, after following that guide both IOJones and IORegistryExplorer freeze as soon as I launch them.
The whole verify step in that guide was difficult to follow so I'm not convinced it actually...
Didn't realize I had to implement anything of that sort, I just followed the guide.
That post is somewhat cryptic but I will give it a shot and see what happens.
Thank you, hopefully it works :p
Hello, I am very new to building a Hackintosh, and after some struggle I have Mavericks installed, booting, and running perfectly on a desktop I built based on the buyer's guide from this website.
The specs are as follows.
Motherboard: GA-Z87N-WIFI
CPU: i3-4330
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB...
Hello,
I figured this would be an easy install, but I was wrong. I build a desktop with recommended components and had a strange install, I'm not sure if perhaps my install disk is corrupted or there is another problem.
I am using a Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI with an Intel i3-4330 processor, a Samsung...
