The cursor stops flashing after approx. 2 seconds.
No change to the USB configuration or anything else.
The only thing I did, was running the HackinDROM - to update Opencore from 9.2 to 9.3 and reboot.
(I have done this with the last 3-4 updates with out any errors)
Hi - looking for some help - please :)
I was running fine with:
macOS Ventura 13.4
Opencore 9.2 - (upgraded from earlier version with the help of HackinDROM 2.1.7)
AppleVTD enabled
Intel WiFi builtin
I wanted to upgrade to Opencore 9.3 - so I:
Upgraded HackinDROM to 2.1.8

Hi
I have tried to find a good overview of the different major BIOS versions for the Gigabyte Z490 VISION D, but have not been able to find any.
So, is there anyone else who has found a comparison, of the differences when looking at the BIOS versions in relation to Opencore and macOS:
F5
F20
F21
Hi CasySJ
Thanks again for you time.
The solution for me was to switch back to the FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_I225-V.kext because the binary patch was the problem.
I had a full bootable 11.3.1 backup created with CCC, which I installed and then updated to 11.4 with succes.
Hi
I tried 4 times to update to Big Sur 11.4 (Opencore 0.6.9).
Every time I have one crash during the upgrade, but then installation continues.
After installation it will crash and reboot after every login.
I was trying to update from Big Sur 11.3.1 on my Z490 Vision D which was rock steady...
I can confirm that the speed is 2.5 Gbps when following the dortania guide and removing the FakePCIID.kext + FakePCIID_Intel_I225-V.kext.
I'm on Z490 Vision D and Big Sur 11.3
I have read on other threads that some users have an issue with the XhciPortLimit and USB ports when updating to macOS 11.3
I'm using CaseySJ's
SSDT-EC.aml
SSDT-UIAC-VISION-D-V2.aml
USBInjectAll.kext (version 0.7.6)
XhciPortLimit = true
Should this be OK if I want to to update to macOS 11.3 ?
FYI
I have been running the BIOS version F20a since the release without any problems until yesterday.
Then the computer suddenly shut down, like if I pulled the power plug.
I have now flashed back to the BIOS version F7c. Hopefully this will fix it.
Hi @CaseySJ
Just to be sure - which SSDT of your files, would be the best to use?
SSDT-TbtOnPch-Lenovo-730-13IWL.aml
SSDT-TbtOnPch-Lenovo-730-13IWL-V2.aml
SSDT-TB3-HackinDROM.aml
And does this apply:
The ACPI rename must be turned off (that is, we don't need "Change _E20 to XE20")
no matter...
Hi @CaseySJ
Between the last post and this one, I finally got in the BIOS of the Lenovo YOGA 730-13IWL in another thread on this forum. First, I thought it was an April’s fool, but it actually worked, and now I have access to all setting in the BIOS.
1. Power off the laptop.
2. Power button to...
