I don't have a solution, but I have the same issue! I thought it was because of display sleep or hard disk sleep but changing those values don't seem to do anything. Every single time, after leaving the computer for a couple minutes, trying to use it again is a slow horrible laggy mess for 30-60...

Based on posted dates, Yosemite 10.10 released October 16, 2014. And NVIDIA drivers for Maxwell were posted October 30, 2014 ( http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/79077/en-us ). So about 2 weeks afterwards.

I have the same hardware, and I had things working with the old BIOS. Installed UEFI and reinstalled Mountain Lion and I can't boot without using GraphicsEnabler=No. Any special BIOS settings that you changed for graphics?

I had a similar problem, but was able to figure out that even though it was hanging at the Apple logo screen, I could see the full desktop if I used Screen Sharing from another Mac. I could also get to the desktop by using the "GraphicsEnabler=No" flag. My solution was replacing the stock...
