Big Sur Clover stuck on boot screen

Hey all, Long time Hackintosher here, but I'm a bit stuck. Had a fully functioning Big Sur installation to 11.5.1, but somehow borked my Clover configuration when working on some USB port issues. I am able to boot my system using a USB thumb drive which has Clover version 5138 installed. I...

Is there an up to date Win 10 Install Guide for Hack?

Hey guys, My son (12) is asking me to install Windows for some additional gaming options. I used to run this machine dual boot with windows 5 or 6 years ago, but haven't since then. I've read several of the posts on this forum and I was wondering if there is an up-to-date Win 10 Install Guide...

    [SUCCESS] Z170X-UD5 TH, i7-6700K, AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100, 64GB DDR4

Thanks for keeping this thread updated! I have the non-TH Z170x-UD5 and I ran into issues trying to overclock (boot loop). I'm going to try your steps above and see if that works. Thanks again!

[Guide] Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext

Hey, I just wanted to stop by and say thanks to RehabMan and all the others who have contributed to this thread. Following the instructions, I was able to get all of my USB 2 & 3.0 ports working. I don't know that the 3.1 A or C ports are working, since I don't really have a way to test them...

    Kextbeast and/or Clover issue?

Thanks UD! I'll try that. I've read Rehab's Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext'][Guide] Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext post a few times and am trying to digest it. I was hoping not to have to go through that brain damage to get all the USB ports working. They all...

    Kextbeast and/or Clover issue?

Quick update from last night's troubleshooting. I did go into BIOS and check the boot order of my devices and disabled everything except my Mojave drive, which is on the Samsung 850 EVO SSD. I set that as the first and only boot option in the boot priorities. I'm still seeing the Preboot and...

    Kextbeast and/or Clover issue?

POST EDIT: Installed the RX 570 referenced below and everything works great. I will be posting a new thread for help with my USB issues. Recently updated to Mojave and I'm preparing to upgrade my GPU from the AMD 6870 I've had from 2012 to a new RX570. In preparation, I read where I need...

    [SOLVED] GA-170X-UD5 6700K - Prohibited Sign & Garbled Text

Okay, good news. I made it to the installer and got El Cap installed. I guess it was a mismatched version of El Cap installer & Clover, or something like that. Strange, but sometimes I just don't think of that stuff without talking it out. Anyway, thanks for the help. I'm using Migration...

    [SOLVED] GA-170X-UD5 6700K - Prohibited Sign & Garbled Text

Oh yeah. I forgot about that. I'm a dumbass. EDIT: Downloading now and will recreate USB. I'm using a 32GB Sandisk Cruzer USB2. Not sure that it matters if I use 16GB or 32GB.

    [SOLVED] GA-170X-UD5 6700K - Prohibited Sign & Garbled Text

That's what I'm doing now. However, how do I find El Capitan on the App Store after Sierra was released. I can't seem to find it. EDIT: I think this may be part of it. The Install El Capitan app I downloaded from the App Store was downloaded before the last couple of El Cap updates, so it's...

    [SOLVED] GA-170X-UD5 6700K - Prohibited Sign & Garbled Text

Hey In-N-Out, yeah I did use that guide for reference with no luck. I'll go back through and make sure I didn't miss anything, but I triple checked all settings. FWIW, my BIOS is the latest stable release, F5.
