Hi @Sniki and @trs96,
Many thanks for your guides! Just used your guides to create a Catalina version Hackintosh with an HP 6300. Went very smoothly, by following the steps exactly as outlined.
I also added the Fenvi full size card for wifi and BT that is working well. Though for the Fenvi I...
Update to previous post. Have paired with trackpad and keyboard. Keyboard working without problem. The trackpad is extremely jumpy, and speeds across the screen.
Have also been successful doing file transfers in both directions.
I'm going to try to rerun the install again with the vanilla...
I too had problems when I deleted the /BT folder and restored the vanilla kext. However when I rolled back blueking's files while leaving mac4mat's kext everything seemed to be working fine from normal boot and sleep. Still testing. Anyone know of problems this mix might cause?
Thanks,
Humbe
Thanks Kotek and blueking for this great dialogue. Luck for me it was sufficient to reload the options from the HP Installer-- that did the trick. :headbang:
All the best,
Humbe
Hi Johnboy,
Any luck getting your system functional? I have the same one except with bios A0. I'm having trouble getting the internal keyboard and trackpad to work as well as the wifi.
Going to try the newest changes suggested by BigDonkey and will let you know if I have any luck.
Cheers,
Humbe
Maly70, thanks for the reply. If you mean BigDonkey's page with additional fixes to Probook Installer no I have not tried that yet, will do so now.
As for the keyboard suggestion, I use a USB keyboard to get past the installation prompt. At that point the laptop keyboard is working as well as...
Hi, many thanks to blueking for leading the charge here. The install seemed to go smoothly but am stuck on a few problems. The system boots fine but requires an external keyboard and mouse.
I have a HP ProBook 4530s (A7K07UT#ABA) Notebook Intel Core i5 2450M(2.50GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3...
@longtom,
Hi, any experience with the F8 BIOS? I was just about to try F7, as I saw that Tony had updated the database. I'm hoping some of the funky restarts on POST go away and the audio improves. Still getting the scratchy sound that sickofit described on the op. Also, using Reaper to...
Re: DSDT Database Update: Gigabyte Socket 1155 - H61/H67/P67/Z68
@Tony and @MacMan,
Just a quick note to say I'm successfully using your DSDT with 6.8 on a GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 BIOS rev F6.
All's well except for being unable to see GPU and Fans in iStat. Have installed Fake SMC and Plugins...
@Longtom,
Thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I solved my problems. Used the Lnx2Mac suggestion of only booting to SSD, that hugely speeded my boot. Next reran MB using all the original settings, it had errored originally but as it loaded I thought ignore it (not usually a good idea...
Howdy,
Here's my experience so far (machine details in sig):
The update did not go very smoothly, I used the method on page 36 above and elsewhere.
Deleted the ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext and touched /System/Library/Extensions. Next rebooted system and successfully completed 10.6.8 combo...
@LongTom
10.6.8 has been acting very flakey for me. 10.6.7 worked like a champ, perhaps I moved too quickly to upgrade. Boot is now painfully slow and I cannot oc without getting hung up.
The upgrade itself was somewhat painful. Had to remove ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin.kext, touch S/L/E then...
Hi Folks,
I've been searching all over the place for the secret formula to get the rest of my sensors to show up in iStat Menus. I loaded Fakesmc and plugins, that seems to work for many folks but not here with the z68x ud4-b3.
Anybody have luck getting the sensors to show all the...
