Graphic Geekbench score is OpenCL Score 106921 so its not like its a slow graphics card (cards?). Again this score doesn't change if its just one card or two cards installed.
Yikes. My new hackintosh seems smoother and faster editing in FCPX, but rendering is slower than my old iMac! It take my old iMac 29 mins to render a 30 minute timeline to prores, and it takes my Hackintosh 40 minutes! I have two AMD 280X cards in my Hackintosh, but it doesn't matter if I take a...
Ok its the age old problem of getting thunderbolt to work on a Hackintosh.
I will get into this in a bigger way in a couple of weeks to see if i can crack it. ATM I am looking at this adapter (link below) to connect a couple of thunderbolt raid drives to the computer, but I am open to the...
Absolutely. My fall back plan is to drop FCPX go the Premier way on PC. I'd just get a top notch graphics card to swap for the AMDs. I refuse to pay for another iMac again after they hiked the price £400 overnight after the MacBook Pro launch. That made my blood boil and there's just no way I...
I have two external raid drives for editing. Both are Thunderbolt so important I can get these working if possible. However the WD My Book 8GB raid can use usb3 if can't get thunderbolt working. I hear thunderbolt can be a bit hit and miss in the past on Hackintosh's, hoping its more stable now?
Components all ordered except monitor as I need to save for that. I changed SSD for a M.2 drive and upped the Power unit to 850W.
Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately the graphics cards are the only thing I have bought so far. I saw two identical cards for sale on Amazon and purchased them quickly before they disapeared. So for now at least, I have to use these cards. Everything else though is open. I have already decided on changing a SATA hard...
I didn't even relise something like this existed until I saw your post.
Is this what you mean?
Kingston M.2 SATA G2 Solid State Drive

I will get one if its faster and better than a standard Solid state drive to run the mac OS on, but is...
