After some time the sleep on my NUC stops working. The wake reason seems to be related to the notification centre.
If I reboot, the issue goes away but I have no clue how to resolve it.
Has anyone seen this before? I am using Sonoma 14.1.1
UPDATE: The below thread that @Leesureone linked...
The issue was actually simple to resolve. I noticed in ioregexplorer that VT-D was not working correctly.
After reading some tutorials and the opencore docs, a simple plist reconfiguration fixed all my issue.
Thunderbolt is now working.
to do:
- Thunderbolt hot plug Fixed
- Fix the USB...
Thanks
I am using an iPad Pro (USB 3.2) and an iPad Pro M1 (that supports Thunderbolt) to check the connection. As a cable I use an original Dell Thunderbolt cable which I use to connect my screen to my MacBook.
The Thunderbolt NIC is an original Apple Thunderbolt 2 that is connected via an...
I am trying to get my Gigabyte Thunderbolt 3 card working with my Hackintosh.
In the EFI I enabled the SSDT-Z390-RP05-SLOT4-TB3HP.aml and USBPorts-with-Power.kext. All vanilla files as supplied by @pastrychef
In the BIOS I setup the card as detailed in the first post including no...
Try to reset your BIOS to default and make the minimum required changes (disable CFG lock, internal graphics, CSM support and enable VT-d and setup USB settings).
I got tired of this issue coming back randomly so looked at the alternatives. I tried multiple plist and bios setting but it never improved. Just got worse the more I deviated from the base OpenCore recommend settings.
In the end I got myself a quality nvme to usb-c enclosure. Haven’t had any...
I was able to fix the wifi using a DW1560 network card and the latest kext and OCLP 1.0
Airdrop, continuity etc are working fine. I will post my EFI later this week.
Edit: See attached my EFI. I have this working OCLP 1.0.1 and latest 14.1 Beta
I used the EFI from @Leesureone for my attempt to get my NUC7i7DNKE to Sonoma.
No issues with crashes on my end. The only problem i am facing is to get my DW1560 wifi working. OCLP recognizes the card and installs the root patches but I can not get wifi turned on.
No. As I understood you need to block a standard kext and replace it by one from Ventura. This can not be done without SIP disabled. If you need WiFi and SIP you need to look at the intel solution.
Try my EFI in the post above. Although it is meant for Sonoma it will also work for Ventura as it limits the kext to the right build of MacOS.
Make sure that VT-D is enabled and CFG Lock disabled
Attached is my EFI
To get everything working on Sonoma you need to
install the EFI to USB
download the nightly build of opencore legacy patcher to the usb(https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/pull/1077) Just search for nightly.link
reboot
clean NVRAM
double check that SIP is...
Next thing on my list. Gave priority to my main hackintosh which worked like a charm.
I have a DW1560 wifi card in my NUC but here isn’t much info available on getting these working again on Sonoma so it will be a discovery.
Post in thread 'Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM'...
I setup openCore 0.9.5 and applied the required changes to restore WiFi which worked like a charm.
Handoff, Airdrop etc are all working fine with a Fenvi card.
I will upload my EFI tomorrow as a reference sample. Happy to collect feedback to further improve it.
