Thanks for the tip. Switching SMBIOS didn't help, but what I forgot is the mouse was connected to a USB hub, and moving it directly onto the mobo seems to have fixed it.
Long time lurker, just wanted to say thanks for all the hardwork and share some experiences I had below that'll maybe help someone. My setup is almost identical, except for 16GB RAM and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus. Installation was from a fresh USB drive (UniBeast, then swap in rj510's EFI folder...
hey all, just wanted to report back and say my charging freezing issue is fixed even in UEFI Clover install. Thanks to all who helped, especially bozma88 and RehabMan. In short, I decided to start from scratch, and:
flash 1.3.2 BIOS
Reset settings to stock, picked settings matching the OP...
jkbuha, have you tried going back to Windows? I'm getting similar behavior in Windows 10 now, where if the laptop is on battery power it just freezes. Fresh install helped until I installed the Intel HD 620 drivers, upon which the behavior came right back. I even tried reflashing 1.3.2 BIOS...
I'll put in my 2 cents. I'll be the first to admit I was lazy and just tried using the pre-compiled DSDT. I just compiled my own using Clover F4 and the freezing bug is still there.
1 - Do you recall making some modifications before the issue appeared?
No. The only thing I installed was...
hey bozma88, thanks again for all the hard work here. I've got an i5, SATA SSD, FHD setup working using the guide and adding the chipset kext into the install files and everything's working great including power management. I'm not super technical, but happy to offer up some observations to...
Hey Sebinouse, thanks again for all the help, I really don't know how to express my gratitude. After playing with the monitor, it seems the opposite is true for the Dell - I have to disable DP1.2 and force it to use DP1.1a, and that fixed the crashing issue. I'm now happily running at...
Hmm, I'll give the patch a try. For what it's worth, 3440x1440, 60hz, 32-bit color works just fine in Windows. I tried 50Hz in OSX over DP and it was still a crash. Will report back with the patch!
No go on either, still panic. I connected the NUC to my LG 1080p TV using mini HDMI and it works ok without crashing, so it must be either the displayport or the Dell monitor. I'll try a mini DP to HDMI adapter on the TV, but if that works, I guess it's the Dell's fault.
*EDIT*

Thanks again Sebinouse. I'm using the miniDP to output to a Dell U3415W at 3440x1440. HDMI is not connected, and the BIOS settings are main display is DP, 2nd display to none, and min memory at 128MB. I'll try the other framebuffer and see if it helps, will report back.
*EDIT*...
Here's what I have from the panic report. Seems like it's graphics related, but I'm way in over my head here. It panics everytime I try to shutdown/restart as well.
*** Panic Report ***
panic(cpu 0 caller 0xffffff7fa26425a9): "Kernel stack memory corruption...
Thanks for the help, Sebinouse! Lesson learned, double check all of the BIOS settings. I have it installed now, but have one more problem - whenever the screen is put to sleep, the NUC crashes and restarts itself. Any ideas?
Hi all, I was hoping to get some help from the community here. I tried following the guide, but when I reboot after installing 10.11.2, Clover does not see my SSD as a valid boot drive, so the only boot option is to go back into the OSX installer. Does anyone know what I could be doing wrong...
