I have an Early 2009 iMac that I just used the patcher to install High Sierra and I have the exact same issue. In addition, I can add that when ever I launch a game it also resets the brightness to the lowest setting. I think that anytime there is any slight change to the display settings (be...
Thank you for all of your help, truly! All video settings were set how I described in the first page. Not many "settings" at all really.
I will be trying to make a hackintosh again in the future with parts that are known to have an easy time running macOS.
Thanks again!
Now that those 3 kexts are installed, I tried the four combos below again.
First try
Fake ID: 0x59128086
platform id: 0x59120000
Boot Args: dart=0 -v keesyms=1 debug=0x100 -disablegfxfirmware kext-dev-mode=1 -no-compat_check
Result: kernal panic on boot
Second try
Fake ID: 0x59168086...
Those 3 kext files were not in /L/E so I used KextBeast to put them there. I rebooted, but still no graphics acceleration.
I then tried the CBM Options you suggested (I even hard set them into the config.plist to be sure they took)
Graphics Injector> Fake ID is 0x00000000
ig-platform-id...
There was an issue. My config.plist changes were not saving during my testing. Therefore, my platform ID was always set to 0x05912000 (which I know, has the extra 0 at the beginning), and my Fake ID was set to 0x059128086 (again, the extra 0). It was like this through all of my testing I...
That is two silly typo mistakes I have made now, my apologies.
As stated in previous post, the InjectIntel box is checked, it simply does not appear that way in the picture I took due to the lighting. In person, you see the check mark in the box.
After making the platform id correction and...
Here are the two shots of the CBM you needed. The one checkbox for Inject Intel is in fact checked, it is just impossible to tell in the photo due to the glossy screen and lighting.
Sorry I did not see this reply last night! I just saw it and gave it a try. It still took a long time to get to CBM, and from there was a blank screen for another minute or two before the normal Verbose output appeared and it finished booting. After verbose output, I finally got a black screen...
Yes, I work from home so I will be on all day tomorrow as well. Thank you so much for the help so far. I look forward to working with you tomorrow to resolve these issues!
Good catch! I made the corrections and tried to boot again. I made it to desktop although the wait to get to the Clover boot screen was still long. Once on desktop, I still have no Audio, and my GPU still reports as 7MB VRAM and is clearly not working properly. (Notice odd lines in the Search...
Well my system will not boot with the config.plist set as shown in your photos. I get a Dell splash screen and nothing for a while (about a minute or two) then I get the Boot Disk Selection Screen, then I get a blank screen now for a while and then the normal verbose output, then black screen...
Not much in a Dell BIOS for Audio or Video. Audio simply has a check box for "Enabled" and it is checked, and under it are two more check boxes for Enable Mic and Enable Internal Speaker. Both checked.
For Video it is even less. It only allows you to select "Primary Display" Auto or Intel HD...
Thank you for all the detailed info! I got the Ethernet working by doing what you suggested. I opened DCPI Manager and the Codec was not listed there. See photo.
I am also working on getting you that coded or at least hardware ID from a hard disk with Windows on it. Hopefully that will...
