Yes, but this issue occurs at boot. Would third party tools that help me write to NTFS really mitigate this issue? I have a feeling it's something else that's causing this.

Hi, My Yosemite install randomly decided to stop working and now only does so with the flag in the title. I tried using the -v flag to diagnose it, and this is where it freezes (with the UseKernelCache=No flag, it goes past it and boots): NTFS-fs warning(device /dev/disk0s2, pid 101)...

Bump. Tried creating an installer via Unibeast, USB got prepared fine. Boot on laptop, not on the PC. I used Mountain Lion to do this on a friend's macbook pro. If it helps, it isn't my HDD since I've tried running the installer with the HDD physically disconnected.

Uh, please read the OP properly before you attempt to help. My problem is with running the installer. I don't have it installed.
