I burnt(?) Mountain Lion to a 16 gb sandisk class 4 usb drive today using my Hack. On my laptop, it says '/mach_kernel not found' no matter what flag I use. On my PC, it stalls after displaying the following lines: "Boot0: GPT, Boot0: test, Boot0: test, Boot0: done". I currently don't have an access to a mac and I probably won't till next week. I have Windows 7 and Ubuntu installed on my computer currently. What are my options? The reason I used my Hack was because I wanted to install it to my MBR partition table with ease. Also, if it helps, I previously had Lion installed but I had to remove it since it wouldn't boot with my new GPU.

Okay, I copied mach_kernel from the dmg and it's booting on my laptop now, but I'm getting the same error on my PC. What's going on?

Bump. Really need help with this guys. :(

I'm a real noob at this but could suggest several different fixes.

Probably why no one has replied is you have given no info whatsoever for your config other than saying you have a laptop and a PC.

You need to give, like, the motherboard, chip, graphics card details for help. Not say, "I have two computers - help me!"

PC: Dell XPS 8300
GPU - Sapphire 2 GB 7850(shipped with 6770)
CPU - i7 2600 3.4 GHz
RAM - 8 GB
HDD - 1 TB

Laptop: Asus K53SV
GPU - nVidia GT 540M
CPU - Some i7 make(will update later)
RAM - 8 GB
HDD - 750 GB

Hope that'll suffice.

Uh, please read the OP properly before you attempt to help. My problem is with running the installer. I don't have it installed.

Bump. Tried creating an installer via Unibeast, USB got prepared fine. Boot on laptop, not on the PC. I used Mountain Lion to do this on a friend's macbook pro.
If it helps, it isn't my HDD since I've tried running the installer with the HDD physically disconnected.

Can someone help me please? :(

You don't have any Mac machine now. How you fix all your problem. You need a MAC not Window.
