Will this work on Sky Lake/Northbridge configuration?

Hi. Does anyone know if I can do a new install on a Skylake system using the Snow Leopard disk? I seem to be in a bind. I cannot download the Sierra operating system, because my iMac is too old, and since I had installed El Capitan, I am not able to download that application.
