    macOS 12.6 Update

Done in about ~20 minutes. Just make sure to double check your config/kexts/drivers are up-to-date and match your version of OC.

    Power Supply Compatibility

750w is exactly where I'm looking at, and more than enough for my build at the moment. Currently eyeballing the Fractal Design Ion+2 Platinum 760w, and the Seasonic Focus PX-750. FD because I like them and they got real hands-on with the manufacturing, and Seasonic because of their rep and they...

    Power Supply Compatibility

Hey Hackintoshers, Casby here, long time follower, long time listener. Looking at a new PSU as I'm due for an update. Aside from making sure that a PSU meets your wattage requirements, efficiency preference, and has the appropriate connectors needed for each rig, are there any actual...

Increase WD SN750 NVMe read/write performance?

Maybe check which M2 slots you're using total? The drive is PCI-e 4.0 x4 so it needs all 4 lanes to run its full speed and some slots scavenge off each other or other connections.

Seasonic's solution for cable clutter/poor airflow in ATX builds

Watching Linus clomp and clang his way through figuring out what goes where got painful after about 8 seconds. That said, this new system by Seasonic is interesting to say the least. Feels a little gimmicky still but I like where its heading. Will be very curious to see where they end up.

External USB Mic Cutting In and Out

I checked my BIOS and there doesn't seem to be any option to disable the Serial port. The board doesn't actually have one so perhaps that's why? Here's one very weird thing. I plugged my monitor's USB hub into the 3.1 port (which is controlled by the ASMedia bus, not the XHC one), plugged the...

External USB Mic Cutting In and Out

Is this what you mean? I reassigned them again in Hackintool, exported the Kext once again, and still the same issue.

    Is this what you mean?

External USB Mic Cutting In and Out

Currently yes, because I reset them back to what they were before creating the USBPorts kext. When I had the USBPorts Kext as the active kext, I was disabling the port limit patches and the device still wasn't working. Here's what it looks like when I am using the updated USB config and kext.

External USB Mic Cutting In and Out

Yeah, I did disable them. I can also just upload the zipped clover folder if that is indeed easier. Wasn't sure if someone just had a quick "oh its a dumb thing, here's how to fix it" kind of answer. I'll post the zipped folder. This is with the USB ports reset back to InjectAll as I was trying...

External USB Mic Cutting In and Out

I seem to be having a very strange issue that doesn't exist in any other place than on Catalina. I use a Yeti Pro connected by USB for quick meetings and chats. All audio input and output channeled through the Yeti cuts in and out constantly. I've tried using different frequencies in...

Seeking Advice for First Time Build

Some PSU Cable Extensions will go a long way in terms of aesthetics if that's your bag. I used some on my most recent build and holy jeebus it makes for a pretty rig. Glad you found it helpful! Best of luck with the rest of the build!

<< Solved >> DW1830 Bluetooth Issue and BrcmPatchRAM

THANK YOU. The Acidanthera BrcmPatchRAM collection worked perfectly. Good call on those. It also seemed to fix whatever was hanging in startup. I really do think it was associated with something connected to the BT4LTcontinuityfixup because everything was up-to-date kextwise and moving smooth...
