    Chimera not recognizing Win 8

Yup, that worked. Worked great actually. One other question, do you know if it's possible to have chimera pause until I make a selection? Right now it counts down and starts OS X right away unless I press 'enter' and then make a selection. It'd be nice to be able to have it stop there and let...

    Chimera not recognizing Win 8

Thanks Rehabman, Yeah I'm reading it. I think my problem may be that my installer USB is only UEFI compatible. When I go into legacy/bios mode the USB key is no longer a visable option.

    Chimera not recognizing Win 8

This guy did a better job of describing the problem: http://www.tonymacx86.com/windows/82521-error-while-booting-windows-dual-boot-separate-drives.html

    Chimera not recognizing Win 8

Yeah, that could be. I didn't really see that kind of option when installing. I just pointed the installer to the empty drive. What steps do I take to do that? Do I then need to reinstall chimera after I get the new windows install going?

    Chimera not recognizing Win 8

Hello, I have everything running smoothly on my hackintosh except for the chimera boot screen. It shows my OSX HHD and my WIN8 HDD but when I select WIN8 I get an error saying there is nothing to boot up. Do I have to manually point Chimera to the Windows boot loader? One other thing, is it...

[SUCCESS] Mountain Lion, GA-Z77X-UD5H, i7 3770 Ivy Bridge, GTX 670

Hey guys, Thanks for the thread. I was wondering about my build; I have: GA-Z77x-UP5TH i7 3770k GTX 670 Everything seems to be booting up fine from the initial install. I'm reading mixed things though: some threads say to now run multibeast again and install the OpenCL fix, reboot...

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP5 TH Thunderbolt (Updated to 10.8.2 and MultiBeast 5.2)

Go to Documents and then work your way back up the file-tree to the main HD. If you followed the guide it will be called Mountain Lion. In there you'll find the folder "Extra"

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UP5 TH Thunderbolt (Updated to 10.8.2 and MultiBeast 5.2)

I think I'm getting the same Kernel Panic. Everything was good until I restarted after installing Multibeast.

First Time Build, Could use some adice

Thanks nobodynose! I've read a few things about needing todate the crucial firmware... but maybe that's a thing of the past. All of the threads that come up with that info are from 2011.

2012 21.5 inch iMac or Hackintosh?

I'm debating the same thing with myself. I'm leaning towards a hackintosh for a couple reasons: 1) Upgradeable 2) Better components for the same price 3) Repairability. I'm replacing my old 2007 imac that had its motherboard fail. It's $800 to replace the motherboard alone, so I don't want to...

First Time Build, Could use some adice

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and building custom macs, I'm really looking forward to diving in. I've gone through the CustoMac page and buyers guide. So I think I have a decent rig picked out. I just was hoping someone would be willing to look over the list of parts I've chosen. Thanks...
