About your first post, if you mean the layout Id not set in config.plist, I did it via dsdt patch as explained in my post. And the brightness is working fine, I'm not using any app. About the power management, if you mean cpu states, I did not get there yet

Yep, I think you are right. The only thing that stopped mine from working wad Smbios, 14,3 I have no signal, 14,2 works fine

Are you sure that HDMI won't work? I have an Acer Vx15 with the exactly the same configuration and HDMI works fine. Don't know if something is different inside, like you said, HDMI being directly attached to the graphics card, but it is working just fine.
