HP Probook sleep wake-up taking long (since about 10.9.4, back in 10.9.5 after latest security & PBI 6.2.15.4.2)

Hi there,

I've previously mentioned a p problem where my Probook 470-G0 takes about 2minutes to wake up from sleep.

Having reinstalled and played around with settings, it *appears* to be related to CSM.

When I enable CSM (hybrid) it takes long, when I turn of CSM (Native UEFI) then wake from sleep is immediate.

This appears to be related to 10.9.4 and later using later Clover versions too.

Update: This resurfaced in 10.9.5 with the 2015-2 security patches after applying HP PBI 6.2.15.4.2.

Then turn off CSM for ideal solution. I don't like mix-system btw.

:)

I just want to have a separate thread for these specific issues and to make people aware of that, than to have it hidden in the PBI's 250+ pages thread
;(

Okay,

this now resurfaced: 10.9.5 (+2015-002 security) after the latest HP Probook Clover installer (6.2.15.4.2).

turning CSM hybrid or CSM native on or off, didn't matter.

Still investigating, so any advice directions would be appreciated.

What is happening in that two minutes?

Nothing "interesting"

The system is asleep (ie. power button pulsates).
Open lid or touch power button, then the powerbutton, mute and wireless buttons' lights turn on, you hear the "clicking" as the HDD/DVD and fans starts... and then you wait.
Screen blank.
no HDD LED flashing.
can't say I hear the HDD working.

I can make another video if that'll help, but it looks still the same as this one I made last year: http://youtu.be/K9E2LiCyD4U

Did you disable hibernation?
Is your patched DSDT/SSDTs up-to-date with respect to your native files?

Yes, was my first stop.

Is your patched DSDT/SSDTs up-to-date with respect to your native files?

As in doing F4 during boot, and recreate the SSDT it via the Probook Installer? (6.2.15.4.2)

Checked. Will redo that now again.

And do EC reset.

And do EC reset.

Done that too again, and as an encore the soundcard fixing too (fix permissions, rebuild cache with kext-wizard, restarts *2)

PS: Thanks for the interest/advice Rehabman!
