Radeon HD7850 + 3440x1440 display = black screen after boot, only when on DisplayPort. Personalities wont help...
I have Yosemite, booted with multibeast.
My current rig is:
Radeon 7850 + Dell U3415W (3440 x 1440). When I connect monitor with DisplayPort, bios loading is fine, but I get black screen on login. That's (supposedly) a well known problem, but... in my case there are some weird things:
1). When I use DisplayPort with another monitor with 2560x1080 resolution, everything is fine.
2). When I connect my 3440x1440 via HDMI, it works as well, but refresh rate is limited to either 30Hz or 50Hz (PAL - weird...).
But I really need display port connectivity, cause HDMI to connect my external TV (which does not have display port).
This might be a noob question, but I've searched a bit, and was not able to find any working solutions. So any suggestions will be highly appreciated.
UPDATE:
Kinda strange, but after computer went to sleep, DisplayPort suddenly started to work, at full 60Hz. After reboot though I had the same issue...
