OK back to the basics, can you please provide me step by step instructions on how to do this using a Windows machine. I really don't know what I am missing, I am at a loss. I have tried multiple times, multiple ways to do this using multiple burning programs.
1. Download the iBoot zip

2. extract iBoot zip

3. double click on folder and see contents

4. burn this file to a CD
highlight the ISO file and click burn

Use a tool like ImgBurn.

Finally got it to work THANK YOU and can boot Snow Leopard BUT after the Apple splash screen the graphics don't seem to work as I just get the below:
View attachment 127383

then I get this:

I have tried all options in the guide:
NOTE: If you cannot get to the installation screen, retry from Step 4, type PCIRootUID=1 before hitting enter. If that doesn't work then try PCIRootUID=1 -x or just -x which will enter Mac OS X Safe Mode and will allow you to proceed. For some graphics cards, use GraphicsEnabler=No boot flag to proceed.

Graphic card in my dv6830us is Intel GMA X3100, once again any guidance or help with this next step would be greatly appreciated

Use the bootflag "-v" only, then post a photo of the screen where you are getting stucked.

OK, thanks for the reply and help ALL. I really want to make this work. I booted with "-v" and it kinda stuck/paused here:

then it finally goes on and then get the screen in the previous post and just hangs there. Please advise and THANKS AGAIN for ALL the help and support

Try with GraphicsEnabler=No. You'll eventually have to solve the GraphicsEnabler=Yes issue. It looks to me like an EDID issue (although it could be something else). You'll have to inject EDID with DSDT patches.

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

here is where it ends up and I have to stop:

Have you tried to press any key once you reached this screen? If not then try it and check any difference is happening in screen or not?

If nothing happening try to boot with flags "arch=i386 GraphicsEnabler=No -v -x"

THANKS Jithin.C.V, booting with flags "arch=i386 GraphicsEnabler=No -v -x" TOTALLY is working so far

I am guessing that my laptop is not 64 bit compatible only 32 bit, correct? What should I expect/do next?

Once again THANKS to both RehabMan and Jithin.C.V for your patience and expertise in helping with this, I am SO STOKED. :headbang:

Although your CPU is likely 64-bit capable (assuming, since your profile is not detailed enough), X3100 is only supported in 32-bit. And the X3100 drivers only kick in with GraphicsEnabler=Yes. You'll eventually need to address your graphics issue (although maybe it will work better once you get to 10.6.8).

In any case, you'll need to stick with the 32-bit kernel. Keep in mind 10.6.8 is default 64-bit, so you'll have to use kernel flag arch=i386.
