I've got an Intel Nuc i5 with an iMac14,4 SMBIOS and I don't plan to change it (Haswell core i5).

There is an other way to install the drivers without a MacPro3,1 SMBIOS :

0. Copy the latest webdriver package to your desktop
1. Use the terminal commands to expand the .pkg into a folder called WebDriver (do not make the folder yourself - terminal will sort that for you)
2. Make the required edit
3. Repackage and install

1: Open terminal and type:
Code:
pkgutil --expand ~/Desktop/WebDriver-XX.pkg ~/Desktop/WebDriver

2: Open up your newly created folder 'WebDriver' on your desktop and search for the distrubtion file, edit with TextWrangler/Text Edit and change
Code:
var found_hardware = 0
to:
Code:
var found_hardware = 1

3: Now that we have made the edit, need to repackage the installer. Remove the original .pkg from your desktop and type:
Code:
pkgutil --flatten ~/Desktop/WebDriver ~/Desktop/WebDriver-XX.iMac.pkg

Installation is OK for me, I've got my PNY 750ti ... I'm just waiting for this damn adapter !!! (PCI to MiniPCIe)

First of all, a huge thank you to all who contribute information here, especially Stork.

Gershy, In case you are still interested in FCP X, I installed an EVGA 750Ti SC into my system yesterday.
I ran a 32 minute timeline in FCP X and experienced no problems. Early days, for sure, but all seems well.

I can try and help you with info.

I don't usually post in forums, so if I am not following some rules, please point them out to me.

My system is: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.3GHz, 12 GB ram, EVGA 750 TI SC(2GB).

So someone might know what's going on here...
I get my EVGA 750 SC up and running, everything works fine, full 2560x1440 resolution on my Dell U2515H monitor. I marvel at the beautiful display. I restart, everything's good, and restart a few times over the course of the next couple of hours, and everything is still good. Then, for no reason, I get the exclamation mark on the Apple boot screen, and booting with -v gives me "Still waiting for root device".
Does anyone have any idea?!

I have the EVGA GTX 750 Ti SC. I had it working last night. But now it's not. The problem is that when it's installed and connected to the monitor, I can't get the BIOS screen. The monitor does not acknowledge a connection to the card. All i get is a dark screen.

I have uninstalled/installed divers several times. I have no idea what particular action caused this.
I have cleared the CMBIOS several times and even did a clean install of Clover and Yosemite.

Any suggestions?

Problem solved:
Seems I forgot this step:
In BIOS change Peripherals > Intel Processor Graphics to Disabled

Man oh man....
I discovered that if you add the bootflag:

nvda_drv=1

instead of

nvidia_drv=1

then it works. Moron alert.

Just a note on the reason for the install of this card - GTX 750 ti. I have been running my system
with a Radeon 5670 card with 512MB of Vram. I have started using Adobe Premiere, in Windows 7, for editing - though I also have FCP X installed on the OSX side. The Radeon was not able to provide accelerated rendering for FX filters in Premiere, as that requires at least 1 GB of Vram. Thus the need to buy a new graphics card.

When I changed the card to the GTX 750, with everything done right - as far as I could tell - the system booted but the graphics were very, very slow. I reinstalled a second time, with the same results.
Eventually I looked in system preferences, found an entry for Nvidia, and clicked on that. This showed that my system was still using the OSX supplied graphics driver. I then selected the Nvidia driver, and the graphics came good. I have not changed any system entries. I now have accelerated filters in Premiere, in Windows 7. I have not yet checked out the acceleration for Premiere in OSX.

Also, when I have run Multibeast 7.0.2, for Yosemite, the audio does not work. I then need to run Multibeast 6.1.0 - for Mavericks - and apply just the audio driver. Then the audio works. Luckily, others have had the same issue so I knew what the cure was.

Thanks to everyone for all the information posted here. Tonymac is a real life saver.

I've updated to 10.10.2 using Clover just fine with the newest 342.02.02 webdrivers for my GTX 750Ti, but I have lost HDMI audio out of it. Have you come across an easy solution to enable this again? My build is very similar to your Hector, but with Clover and 14,2 SMBIOS.

Sorry for the partial OT, but I can't send PM :(

Finally an user with same bootloader as mine.
Unfortunately I've issues with mine... could you be so kind to give me your dsdt and config.plist? :)

Novencento - Good font choice.

My config.plist is attached but be weary of using the exact same one. Look at my build hardware to make sure everything you are running is compatible. I do see we have different brand 750's so that could already be the start of one discrepancy. Also you'll have to be careful because I'm using certain kexts while you may be not, so booting with my config could cause more damage than good, if you aren't just comparing.

Still looking for HDMI Audio with 10.10.2 on GTX750Ti

Thank you very much :)
Tomorrow I'll compare them... I hope to find a clue to resolve my issues: first of all the slow boot.
