Thank you.

Bluetooth says connectable in about this mac SysRep/bluetooth.
I did disconnect the usb cable while in the BIOS both at the card and a second time at the usb header itself. I disconnected while osx was loaded also. Still, no bluetooth keyboard or mouse in BIOS. :(

Is the card plugged into a PCIEX1 slot? Heard you only get one or the other if plugged into PCIEX 4,8, or 16.

Well, it seems the tracking was frozen or something, because the card arrived today.

Initial impressions....

- The package came in a yellow bubble wrap envelope, wrapped in bubble wrap...not amazing...

- The wires in the back of the card are a bit of a pain. They stick out a bit, and it caused them to rub on my GPU fans. I had to use electrical tape to get them to lay flat.

- I plugged it into the USB 3.0 header, but have no idea what it does, or if it works.

- Bluetooth, Handoff, FaceTime, iMessage, AirDrop, all seem to work (I need to call Apple to unlock iMessage/Facetime).

- If it weren't for the few hiccups, it would have been a pleasant experience. I now just have to get it working in Windows 8.1.

So i bought the uk ebay card listed in the OP.

Came quicklish with ariels but would fit in my PCI1 as gigagbyte boards plastic crap in the way! plugged it into a PCI4 slot and fired up the hack...

card all recognised and identified correctly in system profile.

Now bluetooth is all good.... no hassles at all.

WiFi has driven me to despair.... it's there but wont connect - errors include - connection timeout... no connection... self assigned ip... if i give it a manual ip then conects and say its working but no internet...

the main issue is the card connects after some trying but always returns a self assigned ip address... if i fix the ip address it connects but doesn't bloody work.... say its ok but no data / safari says you're not connected?

i've tried every yosmite wifi fix under the sun... deleting plists... creating new locations.... renewing DHCP manual settings.. router settings.... launch deamons....

wierdly ive even got it working for a bit... using auto but assigning ip address... but then it never worked again.....

i'm at the end of my tether to be honest... my iphone and macbook connect effortlessly so its not inhernetly the router or network??

i'm wondering if its an issue with my hack... the symbios is set at imac12.2..... BUT i cloned my macbooks serial and smb etc..... to get imessages etc... working as i couldn't seem to fire up imessage using self created from the fix imessage thread? so i get macbbook air in system profile dialogue box but imac12.2 in system info...?? this is probably a bit rubbish but powermangement etc... works well?

Could this be the problem? i'm going to test with a fresh dummy install using chimera to rule out hardware faults?

but any advice would be good....

Sorry for the double post, I had this issue and the removal of the power into the USB on the PCI card while the device / system is powered on did fix things, I had other issues concerning the detection of the right driver - its picking up the old USB Belkin Bluetooth driver for some strange reasons and not the Apple one from Yosemite.

Thats because youre not putting it in a pciex1 slot. The x4, x8, x16 slots will get you one or the other. You just happen to got BT. You'll have to rearrange cards to get it in a x1 slot to get both.

Even if both bluetooth and wifi are recognised in system profile?

It's in a PCIex1 slot. I tried both pci1 slot I have on this mobo. both things work but just no bluetooth in bios/clover. disconnecting and reconnecting usb cable while system is running does nothing.

Turn off the pc when you want to use it in the bios/clover. Restarting is hit and miss for me. When you turn it back on hit f12 repeatedly and it should work.

Tried that too , even loading default BIOS parameters. Still nothing. ;-( Works just like a usb dongle... after system is loaded works on windows7 too with the bootcamp drivers.

Can anyone confirm I have to have the PCI in the ex1 slot for both bluetooth and wifi?

I'm not convinced by this.... I have got bluetooth and wifi... the hardwares recognised the wifi almost works just self-asigns an ip address...

don't want to hack into my board to force it into a PCIex1 slot for no real reason .

PCIex1 can be used in a PCIex 1 4 or 8 slot to my knowledge ? anyone>?
