Yes I did have this issue. Even on Maverick. The easy trick is to disable hibernation...

hello i have the same issue.
I did a clean install with unibeast and multibeast.
I have all working sound / Appstore / iTunes and so on, but

"everytime the systems wakes up from sleep it is frozen" The screen comes up it is all there but no reaction"

Strange thing if i wake up the system just after it went to sleep (lets say about two minutes) it is all ok.

Any ideas??

Thanks.

Yep, the problem is not the sleep but the hibernation.
The easy way to solve that is to disable the hibernation.
they that : sudo pmset -a autopoweroff 0
or that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CiAyjF84S38

my sleep works fine. the only thing is the gpu power stucks at full speed after wake up from sleep...in uefi bios i have wakeonlan off!

Thanks for the guide!
I've gotten to the "boot single user verbose" part and then I'm stuck. I'm just staring at either a black screen, a blinking curser, or it come up with a long string of thinks that ends in "System uptime in nanoseconds." I've never seen any "state notices" or anywhere to type in #11-14
Can you elaborate a bit more on the "Install on Hack section"?
1. Is there any special way to use KextWizard? I couldn't find a very new version of the software.
2. Is there anything on the screen when I'm supposed to "Wait a few minutes?"
3. When I restart after the first part of the instillation(#8), I hit f12 and boot from my internal drive correct? (not the USB)
4. There seems to be two different bootloaders. One with a blackish background and one white a white background. Does it matter which one i'm in?

Thanks for your help!

What processor are you using? If it's the i7 then I don't know that using billthegets files will work since they are customized for the i5 3570k. Drivers should be fine but not the dsdt/ssdt. That might be where you are running into issues.

For keztwizard, I just downloaded the latest version (it was old) clicked the install tab and dragged all the files into it and clicked install. Then repair tab and repaired permissions.

When waiting s few minutes you should see lots of text scroll by. I saw state notices with various numbers listed and eg 2 4 6 8, with whatever state selected in parenthesis (it changes and should eventually drop to the lowest or near lowest state).

Yes after you you install clover to your drive you should boot off the efi partition of that drive.

I use the first boot loader (dark screen) I have no idea what the second is.

install clover with a fresh yosemite stick! the efi partition of the stick can you mount via clover configurator! copy paste my EFI folder in your EFI partition. for newer nvidia cards change graphicsenabler in config.plist to no....boot from the efi partition of the stick!

when the installation is finished, install kexts via kext wizard, repair permissions and reboot to clover. go to clover options and paste in boot args -s -v and boot from the yosemite hdd. then paste

/sbin/fsck -fy press enter
/sbin/mount -uw / press enter
kextcache -prelinked-kernel press enter
exit press enter

when you show desktop restart your pc and go also to clover options. in the boot args put -f -v and boot from yosemite hdd. sound and network working...

Can you please make a guide with step by step. I have the same Motherboard and I would like to try your clover method .

Upgraded my Z77X-UD5H + GTX650Ti from Mavericks to Yosemite. A few things to note:

- Had to hit F12 to boot directly to the Unibeast drive from the bios menu. Booting to the boot drive's Chimera and then USB gave the mach_kernel error.

- Had to go through the install process twice. It wouldn't boot properly from my boot drive after first install (grey screen with slash-circle), but worked the second time. (Maybe both this and the first issue are due to not already having the latest Chimera on the boot drive?)

- Installed ALC898 from Multibeast 6.1 to get around the problem of no sound after wake from sleep. It is working fine for me. "Internal speakers" maps to the front channel (green port); "Line in"#1 maps to center channel (orange port); "Line in#2 maps to surround (black port). It sounds like disabling hibernate might work, too, but I haven't tried that.

- USB ports all work on initial boot. I tested speeds and the USB 3.0 ports are working. However, after a certain time, plugging anything into any USB port will reliably freeze the computer. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (I did not install the USB 3.0 patch, but I had it installed on Mavericks and never had this problem. Maybe I should give it a try?)

- iMessage / AirDrop don't work, but didn't work in Mavericks for me either. Doesn't really bother me too much, but it would be nice to be fully functional. Is there a way to get it working without Clover?

- Console "All Messages" view is blank. The status bar reads "Searching log database..." forever. Clicking on individual file logs works, though. System.log shows a "Failed to connect" error every time I start Console.

- There seems to be some kind of visual bug with the transparent menu bar where some icons occasionally get a slightly darker background.

I am having this problem with the USB ports as well.
I had a problem with waking up after sleep "the system just did freeze after wake up" I did try to deactivate hibernate mode as
suggested, but that does not work for me.

I did a clean install after that and now everytime after wake up all is fine until i use any USB device.

Are using a DSDT in your setup ? or do you have a DSDT free setup?

My hack has a very strange behavior after the update.

Z77X-UD5H (v1.1), ASUS GTX650, 16 GB RAM, i5-3570k, latest Clover Version.

After sleep / wake my hack instantly reboots, if I connect my iPhone via USB.

But only after sleep / wake.

Do you have the same behavior? Can anyone test?

thx
