Mavericks: Native CPU/IGPU Power Management

So can anyone explain how to check/get native CPU PM with the first-generation Core chips, like the Xeon 5600 and i7-900s?

It seems at least a couple of us don't understand the instructions from the first post...

Hi,
I'm hoping for any help possible. I unlocked MSR in windows for my BIOS. I installed patched pwrmanagement kexts, etc. I generated an ssdt with piker's script. FINALLY...speedstepping appeared to be working in hware monitor....up to 3.5ghz (2 Sandy Bridge E5-2680's on asus Z9PE-D8 WS
). This was great to see...However, my Geekbench score is 10,000 lower from 29k to 19k! I'm attaching my PwrMgmtInfo as well as one of the ssdts I generated. Please help...Piker? Anyone? :banghead:

****solved ! just used c -2 instead of c-0 woot. GB 34k

Ran the script and selected MacBookPro11.3, MacPro6,1 etc. but always get only 8,17,34 P-State.

/cat/var/log/system.log | grep "AICPUPMI:" in Terminal gives me
/cat/var/log/system.log: No such file or directory
Frequency vector script unnecessary, restore native.
Install Post #1/Tools/2. AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementInfo.kext
Restart

AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementInfo gave me KP -> removed.
What about these ACPI Errors, I don't understand them.
Without AICPUPMI, impossible to see what is working and what is not.
No idea what is causing ACPI errors.
Suggest BIOS/Load Optimized Defaults and clean install.
 
Confused on a few things. But I guess Ill try on my backup drive so as to not hurt anything on my working system. In bootloader part 5, we are only doing one of the 2 choices correct? 2 says Chameleon and 3 says clover. And in part 10 it says Verify and the first part says Console/Search: XCPM. confused on that part. In fact Im confused about everything in part 10. Sorry but I guess I have to try it first. I just wanted to get an understanding before I went into it. But I know now that my perfectly working system probably isnt doing much good if its only working half power with turbo off.

Im running a Haswell i7 4790 processor in a GA-Z87X-OC board

OK I ran all the steps and I can definitely see a change in the way the desktop is performing. Also the confusion on the steps 5 and 10 are gone. Newb questions, should have did it first. Anyway I ran the geek bench before doing this and had low scores. And now when I run it, the fans get a little louder as if they are responding to increased CPU. My scores went just a little higher than the normal non K version of the i7 4790. But I don't know what all those numbers mean in the AICPUPMI before and after. But since everything is working and still sleeps and seems to be better CPU wise Im good.
 
hello I have maverick 10.9.5 and X99-A asus and Haswell-E 4820k and Clover boot. I have followed instructions but I just cannot make the xpcm to work. Anyone success on X99 and enabled xpcm?
