Quick Fix for Onboard Audio on 9 Series Motherboards

Actually it is not working. My mb has a enhanced ALC1150 called Audio Boost 2. The kext on the top of this thread only makes the audio control icon show up and only one port has damn low volume despite I set the max volume I can barley hear the sound. I think the pinconfig data is not correct for my hardware. Can you help me create one, toleda? My mb has 6 rear ports and 2 front ports.
Rear: SPDIF out/ Line-out/HP/Line-out /Line-out/Line-in/
Front:HP/Mic

I've just tested 9 Series ALC 892 and ALC 1150 on 10.9.4,

ALC 1150 is working as it did on 10.9.3. Green rear output doesn't function.

ALC 892 is not working with the existing 10.9.3 fix. No outputs/inputs.

We'll be testing on 9 Series over the next days. New patched drivers will be available in MultiBeast.

I am also having trouble with 9-series 1150 in 10.9.4

had set up a system (z97X-UD7TH) last week with 10.9.3 and all was working well (minus the known issue with green rear port). But today i set up a new system with 10.9.4 and i can't get audio to work using the same files and configurations. the systems are pretty much identical though this new one uses a 4790K whereas the the previous one was 4770K. BTW 4790K is working great.

Hope the 10.9.4 9 series stiff can be worked out soon. Let me know if there is anything i can provide.

ALC892/Z97N-WFi is working in 10.9.4 with either AppleHDA.kext from Post #1 or MultiBeast 6.3.1/ALC892 with Optional 9 Series patch. HDMI audio is working as well.

Hi Toleda,
I am really struggling with this latest build. possible of course i made a mistake somewhere but i can't find it. Z97x-UD7TH, ALC 1150, 10.9.4--

I have SSDT based HDEF + installed applehda from first post but i get no devices shown. This configuration worked fine on a previous build but with 10.9.3

IOJones/HDEF/AppleIntelMEIDriver is a clue, not valid.
IOJones/HDEF/hda-gfx/onboard-3 is another clue, not an edit I am familiar with.

Attach the HDEF ssdt and AppleHDA.kext

Ok, I did a clean install with 10.9.4 now using unibeast and multibeast on my GA-Z97X Gaming 3.
For sound options I checked ALC1150 and Intel 9 Series Motherboard Support.
I still have no audio device listed in the System Report.
Can I provided any logs for you to modify Multibeast or the Audio-KEXT?
Sound is currently not very important for me but I really appreciate your work and it might help others.

Unlikely, 9 Series is the problem.
