Fully update no problems ....

I couldn't answer that. My power throttling was working fine before the update. Mine is based on a custom SSDT created for my system.

Updated directly from App Store without issues

For me, I repaired permissions and updated from the MAS.
After reboot I get this:
"Error parsing .plist file" and no boot.

Still investigating... booting from back up for now.
