Do you mean the DSDT File? I downloaded the DSDT-GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3-F12.aml file from the Tonymac DSDT database and used it on the install. If it's something else let me know where I should look for it?

I did the whole install two days ago, and downloaded everything then, so Multibeast (6.1.0 Mavericks Edition) and Unibeast (3.0.1) should all be the latest versions..

Thanks again

OK. Looks like you did everything right. I'm clueless as to what is the problem. I'll try to see if my USB 3 ports show any quirkiness over the next couple of days.

I went to Soundforge and downloaded the old version of GenericUSBXHCI (1.2.5) and now the USB ports work like they should. Thanks for your help!!!

Stork, might I assume that you used no boot flags, as you didn't mention them in your post?

I am struggling to figure out installation on a Z68A board. It just plain won't do it for some reason.

Correct...I didn't use any flags. At what part of the installation procedure are you getting stuck?

I was getting stuck at the installation of OSX. It would fail on Essentials.pkg or some other pkg.

After re-re-re-re-re-downloading the Mavericks install and re-re-re-re-re-making the install flash drive, it finally took. I don't think I did anything different... But I am going to hold onto that flash drive!

Now on to the post install!

I've followed this guide to update to Mavericks from Lion. MultiBeast failed to install using the suggested settings and also just using the plain DSDT. I've detailed my hardware and uploaded an install log file in this thread. Do you have any advice or suggestions?

There are some older kexts/drivers in Lion that the MultiBeast for Mavericks doesn't replace, and I think that's your problem. MultiBeast for Mavericks just checks to remove one or two kexts from Mountain Lion only.

I think the easiest way to do this is to backup your current copy of the OS X, and do a fresh install of Mavericks. Then use Migration Assistant from the installation processes to "bring over" your applications and User folders from your backup installation. Be sure not to use the "other files" (or something like that) in the Migration Assistant selections.

Sorry I can't be more specific as Lion was a long time ago.

Thanks for the help! I was hoping to avoid that but it'll have to do!

I've done the clean install and migration assistant (making sure to not include "other files" option) and when I go to run MultiBeast with either your suggested settings or the plain old UserDSDT it fails. Any suggestions?

Edit: I'm going to try doing another clean install and then migrating afterwards rather than before.
