Haswell HDMI Audio

Wrong, no enabler. Use Audio>With DSDT (the ssdt has the same edits the dsdt would have)
IOReg says HDMI audio is working. Check volume/mute on the TV.

Thanks, Toleda. Attaching MB config, SDST and latest iojones.

Still the same problem. HDMI output shows up in settings, but no sound is coming. Checked volume/mute settings. Any ideas?

You're right. Monitor needed to be reset. Weird. Thanks very much for your help.

Hey topbilling, any chance you could PM me and help me figure out how to do this step by step? I'm trying really hard to get my HDMI audio to work, but I can't quite get it.

Yes. It is really simple, do each step.

Alright, I think I've finally got the hang of it, but I think I've done so much that I can't remember what I did and what I didn't. So, I'm gonna do a fresh install of Mavericks tomorrow and try again.

I've just got a few concerns to list:

1. After I do the fresh install and run Multibeast (DSDT Free) Would I follow Installation instructions 1 or 2?

2. After applying kext patches per Notes 1 and 2, how does one select an Audio_ID? Note 3 states what's supported, but not really how to choose Audio_ID 1 or 2.

3. In the instructions when it says "Install Location.aml/dsdt.aml" does it mean that I rename the dsdt.aml file that I have just compiled and saved as Location.aml/dsdt.aml or does it mean that I just place the dsdt.aml into a folder titled "Location.aml" in the /Extra folder for Chimera? (Sorry if that was a run-on sentence/confusing to comprehend)

4. When I'm rebuilding the kernel cache, DPCIManager sort of hangs at a part where it says "no supported helper partitions to update" does that mean it's finished or is there a part of the log that states when the kernel cache has been rebuilt? At this "hang" I've usually just closed out of DPCIManager and restarted, but without HDMI audio in the sound preferences.

Again, sorry for being so dense. I'm really new to all of this editing in OSX and I am just trying to wrap my head around everything and understand it as thoroughly as possible. And a huge thank you again to toleda for all of your hard work and help!!!

1. Would I follow Installation instructions 1 or 2
2. how does one select an Audio_ID?
3. "Install Location.aml/dsdt.aml"
4. does that mean it's finished

restarted, but without HDMI audio in the sound preferences.
1. HDMI audio, edit the dsdt or install an ssdt
1. Installation - Haswell HDMI audio dsdt
2. Installation - Haswell HDMI audio ssdt
2. Audio_ID, dsdt/ssdt file name -1 or -2
1. Audio_ID:1, file_name-1
2. Audio_ID:2, file_name-2
3. Location of ,aml files for Chimera
1. Location.aml = Extra, means Extra/dsdt.aml or Extra/SSDT.aml
4. DCPIManager hang
1. "no supported helper partitions to update" means it finished

After restart, no HDMI audio means an installation failure. See Post #1, Troubleshooting and Problem Reporting.

Not working for me. IGPU2 values match, connector was wrong for HDAU3 but I ran the patch and it shows proper value now. I just dumped the SSDT file in the Extra folder, didn't attempt to run anything (not sure if I need to or if it just needs to exist and modify plist).

GA-Z87X-UD5H running F7 BIOS, i7 4770K CPU, HD4600 integrated graphics.

Logs attached.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TOLEDA AND EVERYONE FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK I FINALLY GOT IT WORKING!!!!! For those still having trouble and were in my situation, here's my detailed install method:

1. Fresh Install
2. Multibeast (got the .mb file from here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/golden-bu...a-h87n-wifi-core-i3-4340-intel-hd-4600-a.html) -> Restart
3. Removed S/L/E/HDAEnabler1.kext
4. Didn’t worry about injection because I don’t have a gfx card
5. Applied kext patches per notes 1 & 2
6. Restart
7. Downloaded audio_ssdt-hdmi-ami_hd5k-amd-nvidia-1_v2.zip and unzipped
8. Renamed SSDT-1.aml to SSDT.aml
9. Installed to Extra/
10. Enabled SSDT by adding code to Extra/org.chameleon.boot.plist
11. Rebuilt kernel cache via DPCIManager
12. Restarted once again
