Hi NicoX,
To use your integrated graphics and discrete card together you must have Init Display First set to IGFX. To enable the integrated Intel HD4600. You need to add IGPEnabler=Yes to your Org.Chameleoon.Boot.Plist shown in Post #1. This will allow you to use your HD4600 during the BIOS and at the Chimera boot screen where you can select your other OS's. My GT640 is slot 1.
I understand WW but
,
I have some clues too.
Explaining ...
I have a single HDD where 10.8 & 10.9 installed in different partitions.
I first installed 10.9 then 10.8.
After 10.8 installation I had to add
IGPEnabler=Yes as Post #1 in Org.Chameleoon.Boot.Plist.
But in 10.9
in the plist it was there so I
did not change any.
I mean in Org.Chameleoon.Boot.Plist I found key = IGPEnabler and value =Yes
So.. I thought it is good to go.
Before all installation in BIOS I set
Init Display First = IGFX (actually I did absolutely same as you said). Just one exception I enabled
Ultrafast Boot = Enabled (in BIOS) not sure it this is the cause
Last point I am connecting monitor through GPU DVI port to monitor DVI port.
Are you connecting through mobo HDMI port to monitor DVI/HDMI/VGA ?
Any guess where am I missing
------------------------------------------------------------------ in 10.9 the plist is as:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>
IGPEnabler</key>
<string>
Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string></string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>"1920x1080x32"</string>
</dict>
</plist>
------------------------------------------------------------------
Please note every thing goes fine when I am connecting my internal graphics to monitor. I face problem only when I connect 9800GT's DVI port to moniter.....
